What did you smoke today

I was able to get out of the house for a few hours this afternoon. I met up with cibao33 at a local shop and enjoyed three fine cigars:

Romeo y Julieta EL Rothchilde
LFD Premium Maduro # 3
Opus X Robusto

It was great to meet you, Larry! I had a fine time smoking and chatting.

I had the pleasure of cracking the seal on a box of RyJ Escudos. I had to smoke one to see how they were young. Wow. It certainly has the RyJ profile but reminds me of an aged Churchill with the punch of a Cazadores but balanced with the cream of a Short Churchill. The initial first 1/8" was reminiscent of (believe it or not) a God of Fire Don Carlos. With a flavor like any other RyJ, 2-4 years will make this one of the best RyJ's out there. Follow it up with a perfect burn and draw this cigar is highly recommended.

Currently smoking a Don Pepin Cuban Classic courtesy of stinkimonki. I can't believe I've been smoking almost a year and this is my first DP. Where have these been all my life?????!!

Jon -- Good times my friend! What a blast just to hang out and enjoy a few cigars.

My best to you and April...congrats again for the little blessing!

Anytime you want to get out and light up a few...you just give me ring.

I actually enjoyed a Perdomo Reserve Champaign X for the first time. Little mild robusto with some good flavor...little complexity to it as well. Meeting the owner of Cedar Box, Myra, was an absolute treat...great little store.

The Perdomo Reserve Champagne is a surprisingly good cigar. I got a freebie five-pack of Cs last year, and smoked the first one recently.

I'll be getting more when the five-pack runs out.

I smoked a LFD Mysterio oscuro. It was good and had some kick to it, however I'd much rather smoke a DL 600.

I had the RARE chance to get away to Ft. Lauderdale on biz for 2 days so I had to bring something a little special..... after a scrumptious dinner with some colleagues at Christine Lee's at Gulf Stream Race Track and Casino, I retired back to the hotel to enjoy a delicious Opus X Robusto. Haven't had one in over a year and it was better than I remembered...down to the nub!!! mmm...mmm...mmm!!!

After spending nearly 15 minutes looking for the perfect cigar I closed my eyes and grabbed the first thing I touched. So tonight I had a CoRo while reading the Iggy Pop biography, "Open up and bleed". Good book and great cigar.

Just got done with a VSG Beli that had been sitting in my humidor for about 6 months. Excellent smoke! I would like to let some of these age a little bit longer, but I don't seem to have the will power. :whistling:

Last night at the DC herf: A gifted Shark--Thank you, Tone-NY and a 1926 #35 from Big Stick. Both phenomenal cigars!

Slow day at work turned into a great smoking day. While getting to know some of the guys in chat I was lucky enough to spark a Punch Champion (awesome smoke), AF Hemi Signature (smooth and mellow) and a Padron 2000 (fastly becoming my go-to).

This morning, I had a Padron 1964 Principe Maduro with my morning coffee. Now, after lunch, I am smoking my 2nd EVER Padron 40th Maduro.

WHAT A SMOKE!

(can't wait to try the 80th...gotta wait until I get more in the store before I can try it)

Enjoyed a Cohiba Robusto this morning, a Padron Londres after lunch, and a VSG Tres Mystique after work.

Another winner for me...a gifted Cohiba Reserva from 2003! Thank you, Anthony!
