What did you smoke today

Decided on the Padlilla Torp Hybrid that Jhawk sent instead of the JJ. This cigar is very complex. There is a lot going on. I pick up strong coffee, some fruitiness and cedar. But there is something else that I just can't place. It is a very strong cigar. It smeeled strong of nicotine during prelight nose and reminded of copenhagan suff. I am enjoying the hell out of trying to figure this one out.

This evening I enjoyed the great KC weather with a 5 Vegas Series "A" Alpha and a Joya de Nicaragua Antano Machito.

Master Blends 2 while gathering up my hunting gear for deer season.

Wasn't overly impressed with it, as I had been saving it for about a year, but it was a decent cigar. Lots of wrapper issues towards the end so I couldn't nub it.

I don't see me seeking these out, but I have no problem smoking them if they find their way into my humi :)

Currently sitting on the balcony with the laptop, watching the sun set over Biscayne Bay. Just finished some Kobe beef hamburgers, topped with goat cheese, shitaki mushrooms, tomato, vidalia onion, baby greens, with sweet-potato chips.

Poured three fingers of Black Bush, neat. Lit up a Forbidden X and am watching a (boring) Alabama - FSU game (Roll Tide!). All is well and feeling so, so fine. The wife is out shopping a few blocks over on South Beach, and my little smoking buddy is enjoying his dinner now too. Cigar is, as always, stellar. Libation is equally delicious.

I just hope tonight's Auburn - Florida game is a little more exciting than this one...it definitely should be.

Hope all my brothers/sisters out there are having an equally awesome evening.

I smoked my first 601 green label today, I have to admit that I didn't expect to like it, but it was really good. Even like it better than the blue label.

The weather has cooled, so now I am deciding what I should have after a dinner of filet and shrimp, grilled by my lovely wife. Decisions, decisions, maybe a LFD factory box press II.

Have a good one,

Ken

La Punta? Trabuca? Robusto?

Today was one of the great days.

Ashton VSG tres mystique for breakfast
Padron Londres for lunch

and later got together with Dan for a Padilla 1932 churchill and a Cojonu 2003.

Sadly, these were my last of the 32 and 2003. Seems like a purchase is in mandatory for the near future.

Today I smoked:

2 TTT Robusto Extras
1 HBM DC
And now at halftime of the Buckeye vs Goffer game a Diplomaticos #4

After dinner, I had a Punch Champion with a couple drams of Dalmore Cigar malt. I really enjoyed the flavor of this one and the Dalmore complemented it nicely.

An '01 ERDM Gran Corona with a couple of fingers of Green Spot Irish Whiskey (Thanks Ray!) on the back patio with the fire pit going....can you say relaxation?

The Gran Corona was really, really good...

Finished the day off with a DPG Black Belicoso. Fine damn cigar I'm tellin' ya

You're welcome. That Green Spot is some good stuff ain't it.

Went to a birthday party in NYC tonight for a young member of the family. The youngters were going clubbing; so, the wife and I decided to stroll up Broadway instead of taking a cab. We walked 40 blocks while I smoked a PSD4 followed by a RASS. What a great night to be in THE city   .

MC,

You really got the life!

Jack

Celebrated my birthday the best way I could think of cigar wise:

Opus A
Opus RdC
Opus Fuente Fuente
Opus No.5

It was a very good birthday!

Had an Ashton Aged Maduro #15 in the afternoon while taking the dog for a quick walk. Had a maduro 1926 Padron #35 just before bed. Got to love the weather this time of year.

Bob

Enjoyed a Padilla 1932 Churchill while watching the 'Cuse lose yet another football game. Later in the evening, I had an LFD DL Chisel while watching Auburn topple Florida.

I had a Opus X Perf X last night and what a N-buzz! Great cigar and perfectly aged.

After a short nap, I smoked a 601 Habano Robusto from a recent box split. Delicious!

After a somewhat longer nap, I'm smoking a Tatuaje Cojonu 2006 LilBastage just hit me with last week. First time for the 2006. Thanks again, Alan!

Is a nap in my future? Does it matter? Hell no!

I can't believe I fell asleep in the middle of a post! :D

I worked my ass off this week so this is a well-deserved treat! ;)

Steve

BTW, I like the 2006 but the 2003 was a tad more complex and flavorful.
