What cigar goes good with Vicoden ?

Well recently (friday night) I tore my Plantaris tendon in my left leg during a softball game. Since then I have had a lot of time off my feet. So I took advantage of the situation and poured myself a tall glass of JW Black and pulled out a few high end smokes next to a roaring fire pit. Problem is, I seem to have lost my taste buds. I was very disappointed when my smokes tasted light nothing but thin air. Now obviously the smokes are fine, but maybe its the meds screwing with me. Any ideas?? or is it time to ull out the dog rockets for a bit?
 
I don't know what your baseline intake of chemicals is, but in the event that you aren't sure yourself, be really careful mixing.
 
Thanks for the tip Green Monkey, but I have it down to a science. 1000mg vicoden and 2 tall glasses of JW Black with lime and my pain is gone and I get a good night sleep.
 
Don't drink and take Vicoden. ETOH potentates the effects of narcotics It's really a dumb thing to do. Unless, of course, you want to end up in respiratory arrest and die or, even better, choke on your own puke and die.

I work in a hospital/I'm studying chemistry. I hate to burst your bubble, but 1000 mg of vicodin (hydrocodone) would kill you. Period. The "1000 mg" you are probably referring to is the paracetamol (tylenol/acetaminophen) content of the mixture. A common vicodin tablet is 5 mg hydrocodone/500 mg tylenol, although many other doses exist.
 
Gotta get oxycodone IR mmmm goood! They are instant release capsules with no filler drugs so they hit you pretty good.
 
Depends on the strength of the Vic. If it's an HP you could smoke the tailpipe of your car and never realize it until the rear wheels run over your limp body. :laugh:

Buddy of mine is on vic, i think a slightly lower dosage, but he sure noticed the flavors coming out of the padron anni maddie I gave him after his surgery. He didn't notice even the slightest buzz, though...
 
Im going to try a WOAM in a few minutes and I will let you guys know. On a serious note, thanks to all of the informative information for all of you. I was unaware of some of these reprocusions.
 
If you end up taking them for a while, you'll also notice another side effect. I suggest adding lots of bran to your diet.
 
I had some Vicodin after a surgery in November and I swear those things were all placebos. Didn't help a bit...didn't do anything but make me feel like crap in the morning. Worthless, absolutely worthless...they didn't even help me sleep. Any way, I agree with the no drinking bit on these things ... maybe a beer or two but nothing more than that. Percocet would have been better...even Ultram would have helped more.

As for the cigar, if you are looking to max out chemicals then go with LFD.

Try it again but start with a Macanudo, move to a Padron, and then try a Opus X.......you will soon be aware of your palet status.
 
Try taking some zinc, it help replenish your tastebuds. I can't remember exactly which type as I'll need it soon. there was an article on CP or somewhere talking about this, especially after antibiotics and painkillers as they damage your tastebuds. I'll look & post. Vike with beer chasers (sometimes followed by 1/2 a Flexeril) was my drink of choice after a rugby match back when I played; not a smart choice, just young and stupid at the time.

You guys aint kidding!!! I just got back to going on a regular basis after all the pain killers I was jacked up with after the accident and surgeries. I didn't enjoy 45 minutes of pain to push out a hershey kiss. :(
