Great watering hole. Surly is one brewery I'm dying to try. Had a founders breakfast stout last night.
 
had a bomber of Black Bavarian and Oak Aged Yeti IS ... both very tasty!
 
Had Stone's Epic Vertical Ale (08.08.08) over the week-end. A Very nice beer. I'll have to get some more while I can.
 
Saturday night:

AleSmith Wee Heavy
AleSmith Old Numbskull
Dundee Honey Brown

Great beers - Old Numbskull is definitely the best of the bunch. BTW - Don't try to drink 3 Honey Browns and then a bottle each of the .750 ml AleSmiths - I didn't realize that they were 10% and 11% ABV respectively :whistling:
 
I had a good beer weekend. Friday night, I enjoyed a bottle of Deschutes Black Butte XX (Thanks Jonas!). Good beer, but I like the Abyss more.
Saturday night my brother brought over his bottle of Firestone Walker 10, and I cracked the 11 for a little vertical tasting.

I think the 10 had faded a little bit, but the 11 was fantastic. The flavor was so complex, tons of chocolate and vanilla, and the finish seemed to last forever. We got pretty lit that night!
Sunday, I didn't really feel like drinking, but my wife cracked a 750ml bottle of Lindeman's Framboise, and I couldn't resist.
 
Fuggin A Pete, that is one phenominal weekend!!

I can't get enough of the 11, simply blows my mind every time I drink one.

You should of waited a week or two and done a 3 year vertical.

I am having a Sweetwater 420. It's a great local brewery in Atlanta that makes an amazing IPA, ESB, and Pale Ale.
 
Last night I had an '08 SN Harvest. I have one bottle of the '08 Southern Hemi Harvest and 2 bottles of the Chico Estate left with the rest of this fall's case, so I may have to do a vertical tasting and put the reviews up here.
 
6'er of Shinerbock with a DPG Blue Label Lancero '07 last night.

Had a Saranac Bohemian Pilsner
Which was nice and followed up with a year old Lost Abbey Judgement Day ... Wow great beer with chewing thickness.

Saison Athene
Czar Brew - Russian Imperial Stout Aged In Oak Bourbon Barrels
 
had a Samual Smith Nut Brown Ale and old favorite and a Murphy's Irish Stough (Draught) then converted over to a couple fingers of Highland Park 18yo.
 
Last night I had a bomber of Three Floyd's Moloko Plus and a bomber of Lagunitas Olde GnarlyWine. Pretty strange mix, but both were sippers and lasted the whole night.
