What Beer Did You Drink Today (2018)

Weyerbacher Sexy Mother Pucker.

Not a lot of love online - Cherries, blackberries, plums, dark chocolate, floral hops, and citrus zest. Glad I don’t pass on beers based on online reviews.

Brew Rebellion White Chocolate Raspberry Imperial Stout. Gift from a friend. Friendship over. This tastes like cough syrup. I'm dumping it and grabbing something I know I like.

So I’m having a sour from our local sour house paired with a Kristoff Maduro and it is goi g great. Anyone try sours with their beers?
 
Been hearing more and more about a brewery ten minutes from my house called Red Dragon Brewing. I feel really lucky after having my first visit there today, that these guys chose Fredericksbug Virginia to set up shop. They sure know sours!

Got a half plank when in the brewery

Left To Right:
1. Boysenberry Mango Gose - Name says it all!

2. Pineapple Sour IPA - A lot going on here with pineapple (obviously), vanilla, and citrus.

3. Plum Currant Creamsicle - Pure genius this one! A vanilla bean lactose conditioned gose with plenty of plums and currants. Smells and taste amazing.

Then took home two quart crowlers of Enter The Dragon Triple India Pale Ale. I would never have guessed it’s 11.3% ABV and it easily stacks up against Trillium, Tree House, and The Alchemist offerings all day long.

Dunno, but I’m pretty sure sours are a form of beer.... So, that would be a yes! :po_O

I had a set of Spiegelau IPA glasses but, both broke and I rarely break glasses. They seemed super fragile.

Lets face it though. Tree House and Trillium are so damn good I'd drink them out of my dogs' dish and still lick the bowl clean. So, so good. I Can't wait to get home, This is making me thirsty and I have 3 Trillium left.

I was given a barely used combo grill and put it to use yesterday. Typically when I grill, I'll have a beer. My son brought me one, out of the blue.......i didn't complain and just drank it. It was a nice gesture :)

I didn't take a picture, but it was a Leinkugel's Summer Shandy.
