West Coast Pass

At a first glance I am looking at the following

Takes

Padron 1926 Maddie
Partagas Rosado
R. Patel Naked Edge
AF Cuban Belicosa

Puts Hmmm gotta go to the hummi and look ;)

Sitting here waiting :whistling:

As one of the fairly new participants I was pleased to see that the lineup of cigars clearly identified those that were ISOM and those that were not ISOM. Wanting to abide by the rules of ISOM for ISOM can we be sure to label the puts in the same manner on teh put/take list.

I would hate to be "that guy" who jacks it all up due to my ignorance.

I think I am number 3 on the list and I am alreay doing the . . . what do you call it . . . the "pee pee" dance :D

Good Point...I'm #6 on the list and I'm doing the "giggles jig"
waiting for these beauties!---it will soon turn to "pee pee".

My put/takes will be mostly ISOMs...if there are any left-LOL.
Tom

Well if I read the rules correctly then there should be the same amount of ISOM's at the end as there were at the beginning . . . right?

Should be .... but occasionaly there are additional sticks that sneak there way into the pass.

I'll do my best to keep the tags on the P&T list on the first post but it will be up to you guys to write in on the sheet that is in the box.

I remember how nervous I was about making a mistake on my first pass as well. This is the reason for posting your P&T's for approval, there are a lot of guys watching these passes and they will speak up if something is out of line.

I might throw in a few xtras to show good will as a newbie...maybe
a Sir Winston or 2...

TVST*R, there is a newbie limit to how many ISOM's you take for your first pass. For you, it will only be 1.

Ree

Wow...even if I put more than one ISOM? Guess I'll have to go shoppin
for some Padron '26 ers etc...No problem. Just glad to be included...

In addition to rule # 1, you must put two ISOM's for every one you take. :p

Just having some newbie fun with you Tom. Welcome aboard!

Ree

Gee gee Ree ree....This is getting expensive!
Thanks for the welcome!

Well it looks like i'm up at spot #5 so I'm sure there will be a few surprise ISOM's in the box.

One question though could I take maybe one of the good domestic fuentes and instead of domestic maybe put a cohiba isom which is about the same in cost? Just wanted to check before it gets to me.

A buddy just got back from Alaska and has some great halibut!! Man what a trip and the girl is going too!

Have fun!

Halibut is my favorite... mmmm.. beer battered (smokey porter!) and deep fried - but blackened on the grill is a VERY close second... Just did a HUGE batch at the station the other night to make room in my fish freezer for this coming weeks work. Got a charter lined up to go after the barn door halibut, but mostly will be out on my brother-in-law's boat after the tastier 30-50 pounders. With any luck I'll get a huge fish and win the $50k Derby prize!

poor smoker will be going non-stop for another month again this year... too bad no one wants to come this far for a herf... ???

Wow the luxery of living in Alaska, I have yet to see a barn door yet!! The biggiest I've got was about a 50lb Bigeye tuna a few years back!!

If you ever run out of room once your smoker dies from all the work let me know i'm sure I can find something in the humi for you!!

The rule states, "ISOM for ISOM".

Sorry, we can't start making exceptions to the rules.

LGHT-
Put that ISOM and I'll take it off your hands...since I'm #6...I think.

Last pass I was in, I tried to trade a PAM'40 Anniversary for a Cohiba Sublime. The PAM was clearly more expensive than the Sublime and harder to find. I, still, couldn't make the trade. Sometimes it seems unfair, but we must follow the rules. What does everybody else think about this? I guess it would be up to NorCal.

That's correct Ree, ISOM for ISOM, Premium for Premium, and NC for NC. This being my first attempt at hosting a pass it seems best to follow this rule. Perhaps some day I'll host another pass where trade for trade doesn't matter but this time around I would like to keep it simple. I'm already trying to work around these dang vacations :p

Make sure that even priced ISOMs are traded. For instance, no trading a $22 RASS for a Cohiba Sublime. Just a heads up TVST*R.
