Virginia Herf!!

So guys, here's a Facebook post from my family's distillery! Exciting things are in the works! The curved structure will be a stage for weekly live music. They're sodding the area to the side. Also in the weeks to come, they redoing the courtyard between the two buildings and putting in 2 shipping containers somewhere. One container will serve as a full bar and the other will be on top...cantilevered over the first. This will house a second level seating area with a steel spiral staircase leading up to it!!

So at this point we'll have to see what construction looks like in a few months. This may push the get together into the summer months.

Okay folks...finally making this happen! I met with the guys today at the distillery and here's the plan...

The event will be May 4th! Here's what everyone is thinking...

Admission will be $20 for the event which they hope to include the following:

Food (working on getting a local restaurant Cuban Island to do a whole hog)
Cigar sampler pack with accessories
Private tours hourly of the distillery
Live music (working on Cuban style)

The plan is to have a tent set up for paying guests for the event as the distillery will be open to the public also. While this is all going on, there will also be a beer event on premises from local breweries and guests may sample their beer.

More info to come as we're working the possibility of vendors, rollers, etc

Sadily, I won't be able to make this as I have work. Same with the 8th, @smellysell .
 
Update...

Cuban band has been booked for the event!

Cuban Island restaurant has also been booked! Plan is to cook a whole hog.

More to come...
 
We're hoping to work with Milan Tobacconist to have vending at the event. Still working out the details! Should be a good time nonetheless...
 
It's gonna be a great time! Bourbon, cigars, live music and food!!

My wife and I will be there this Saturday so I'll post some pics!

Also, her cousin who is one of the owners, just opened a restaurant downtown. Six and Sky, food is amazing!
