vHerf room performance

I understand there was some lag during the last herf. Please post here any issues you encounter.

While a lot of effort has been put forth to integrate the vherf room more into the forum, if in the end we continue to encounter issues, I'll remove the plugin and go back to how we had the room before. Whatever works best for the community.

It was because of Cohibasurfer taking over with his link and using all the bandwidth!

Speaking of bandwidth, I do have an issue. I must be outdoors so I can not use my main internet ( 300gb ), so instead I must use my phone an its hotspot. Before the change everything worked fine, however, since the change I can not get on Vherf, but straight CP is fine. If any of you could do the same via your phone, and use your hotspot, it would make for a great test ( and yes, of course Rod is aware of the issue with me ).

Here are some of the issues:

If you are not on pc or laptop: you can only see 4 people per sceeen. Audio only works if you are on the main screen for some. Bandwidth is too slow for most.

I'm doing one last update on the app. If there are still issues after this, then I'll scrap it and we go back to how it used to be. Thanks for being patient and providing feedback. Will post here when the new update is in place.

@Rod just a quick question...does the Room ID/Password always stay the same or are they randomized for each vHerf?

It's the same, as it's setup to be a meeting room vs a timed meeting.

I'll be updating the vherf script next week. If it still poses a problem, I'll scrap it and go back to the original method. The benefit to the add-on is that it allows everyone to see who's currently chatting (thus creating more usage/interaction), and also allows for quick entry into the room using your CP username.

Don’t worry about my iPad. I’ve been way overdue for a new device, so I grabbed a Mac Mini. I hooked it up today and jumped into the vHerf and everything looked great! I’ll know for sure tomorrow night when there are multiple people on, but I have high hopes.
