So I was trying to clear some of my sticks on craigslist when I get emails from this guy at SGTSCIGARS.COM. Pretty shady stuff. first and foremost, I was listing a whole bunch of sticks. When he emails me to tell me that hes interested, he wants all the sticks! Then he goes on telling me that he owns the company SGTSCIGARS.COM and has plans for my sticks. I wanted to sell my sticks to someone who would enjoy them! not make a profit out of them! kinda messed up. wanted to let the community know about this, so here it is!

L*** first email:

So how much are you asking for the stogies?

All of them!

*(please note that I somewhat ignored his request becuase normally when someone wants to buy my whole collection based of pictures, its usually a waste of time. I made up an excuse for the ignore. =))

SIr,
Is there a reason you have not emailed me back? I am very serious about buying your collection. I have my own side company ( apart from being in the Air Force full time) called Sgts Cigars ( www.sgtscigars.com ). So yes, please give me a price on your merchandise.

I have some plans, why do you ask? Let me know when you come to a decision.

Wow! you have seriously annoyed the hell out of me! Not only do you ask an insane amount of questions, you take forever to reply to an email. Please keep your cigars and dont ever email me back. By the way, I like your collection of cigars and all, but dont take yourself so serious. This is not a sparring match, so don't feel the need to reply. Have a good one.

Word to the wise, DONT BUY FROM SGTSCIGARS.COM , Plus I checked their website and they only sell cubancrafters sticks.

hmmmm.

If you asked if he would resell them at MSRP, obviously you were giving him a deal....that's like $500 worth of smokes..... :0

Cigars on craigslist. :(

Edit to add.

I think the humidor photo is in his sig...not the one for sale...I think!?

actually that pic is part of the collection im trying to sell. I dont want to be an ass and post ads for the collection on CP. =)

"Make me an offer" request on Craiglist with a link to pictures of many higher end smokes not specified in the original listing. Looks like you gave the individual the run around when he asked for basic information.

Very shady indeed. :whistling:

Well I just copied and pasted my previous listings from before. out of laziness i didnt write in ALL the cigars I was trying to rid of.

Yep, there are cached versions of that site out there. I did find a sale that SGTScigars posted on craigslist.

Easy way to get his sale on CP, I totally agree with that.

Seems like an easy way to get a sale posted on CP...
Is there a link to his sale that I'm missing? Or is there a picture enticing you to look him up on craigslist? Sometimes pictures are blocked/removed from pages based on the proxy I go through.

Could just be a new guy sharing something weird that happened to him, too.
