UGLY LOSS 0r UGLY WIN?!?!?!

I'm a die hard Steeler fan, but I have to admit the Giants' defense did a helluva job.

I'm trying not to be a homer, I seldom am, but both offenses gained in the 280's (Steelers 288 and Giants 282) and one of the defenses was given three interceptions (the forth one was meaningless) and exceptional field position. I think it was the Steelers D that was awesome.

If the Steelers O=line was even average last night it wouldn't have been a contest.

You really make me laugh...."given"...so the hit put on Washington that caused him to cough up the ball, that was plunked out of the air, was "given" to the Giants....OK :whistling:

The pass in the flat that Rothlesberger threw, because he was about to take his 15th knockdown of the game, to a Giants linebacker playing the zone...that was "given" to the Giants...OK :whistling:

I think the Giants earned those...but the ONLY thing I'll agree with you on is that the 4th and last INT was a GIMMEE.

I can't believe you won't admit the Steelers were beaten by a better team....the long snapper gets hurt, the punter pulled his groin...that's the NFL, the good teams overcome those obstacles.

Just like when the Giants were bitch slapped by Cleavland a few weeks ago...that was an embarrassing performance by an NFL football team...not what the Steelers showed last Sunday my friend!

I didn't mean that they didn't earn them, I was just stating that with that many chances they should have been able to score more. Bad choice of words on my part.

But I guess you're right that Cleveland is a far better team than the Giants because of that whoopin they put on ya ;)

Wow, too much bickering amongst ourselves. It's not about which team is better, it's which team plays better football. I thought all this was cleared up in the postseason of last year.

You're right about that,Dave. This past Sunday, the Giants played good enough to win. Did they trounch the Steelers? No! It was a play here and a play there. Fans on both sides can thump their chests and say their team is the best, but both teams played their hearts out as they should. Giants fans can crow that they came into the Blast Furnace and took away a win. Steeler fans can say that despite a team riddled with injuries everywhere, they took the Super Bowl champs down to the wire. Who wins? The NFL, that's who. This is what it's about.

All I can say is that this would make a hell of a Super Bowl.

And GO STEELERS!!!!!

Yeah, sorry I got so wound up

Awww...you're fine, Mr. Stone. We're just passionate about our teams.

Okay, enough with the warm & fuzzies.

Bickering!

Don't come to my house on a football Sunday (away games for the Giants) or the parking lot of Giants Stadium for a home game when I bring my buddies who are Redskin, Cowboy, or Eagles fans....bickering would be a far cry from what we do.

We talk football...if you want to talk smack, back it up with the facts!

GO GIANTS!
