UPDATE (original post below): Based on golfgar's suggestion, I've created a calendar on teamup.com for anyone interested in sharing their travel dates and destinations. The link provided will allow modification privileges, so you can click on a date(s) and add an event. I simply put my CP screen name along with the city where I'll be. If anybody has any questions, let me know.

In my job I travel nearly every week. My "territory" covers 9 states (IN, IL, WI, ND, SD, NE, IA, MO, MN) however I'm am often sent to places outside those states. I was wondering if perhaps there are some other BOTL's that are in the same situation? If so, I thought it might be neat to have a thread where we can post "I'll be in (this area) on (these dates)" for the purpose of possibly meeting up for mini-herfs with BOTL's in that area. Just a thought. Might be a stupid one, but I figured I'd toss it out there.

Not stupid idea at all. I don't travel for work but if you find yourself in the New Haven area of CT drop me a note. I have a great patio for good weather and there's always the Owl Shop in New Haven for bad weather. It serves food, booze and cigars, how they got grandfathered in on that I have no idea.
 
Well alright then. I'll be in St. Joseph, MI this week (week of 8/29), then Matoon, IL on September 6th, Columbus, OH on Sept. 8th, then Hettinger, ND the week of 9/12. I'll also be in the Milwaukee area (Wauwatosa) on 9/22.

I'm heading up tomorrow (I live in Indianapolis) and I'll be there through Thursday. If you want to meet up for a smoke let me know. I'm working in Berrian Springs, but I'm staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Benton Harbor.

Eric, perhaps a weekly or monthly calendar could be put in a thread which could be accessed and kept current for those travelling who have available dates and viewed by those who might have an interest in getting a herf together. I'm normally in STL but they do let me out once in a while and I have met some of the other folks and have hosted for some other travelers passing through.

Good idea. Perhaps a Google Calendar that people can request access to?

I'll tinker around with it when I get back to my hotel room. If I can get something to work I'll edit the original post to include the link.
 
Ok, I think I figured out something that will work. Original post has been updated with the link. Somewhat related, this thing has legs already. MrAnderson41 and I will be getting the ball rolling Wednesday night.

I was one of those passers through. It was a great time. If any of ya'll cross the pond to Europe let me know. I might be up for a road trip.

I like it. Looks good thanks for putting it together and I know I shall be checking it.
 
I would suggest that when anybody adds dates to the calendar, they post in this thread that they did so. Seeing new posts can act as a reminder to check the calendar. I just added some more this morning.
