Love the format but these need time. Enjoyable but really showed its youth with muted and at times sour flavor. Have heard the Rito smokes better young. Will revisit in the fall.

We've been working on getting our garden ready as well. Still a few weeks before it's safe to transplant most things outside, though.

Long lunch today so trying a Rojas Texas Toast pretty much right off the truck (arrived Saturday). It's damn decent so far, at a bit over an inch in. Wood, tannin, spice, very peppery retro. Tastes like it should settle into a nice smoke with a few weeks of acclimation.

ETA: entering the final third, woody and peppery still, but the spice is picking up some. Very flavorful and really good IMHO. Superior to the Havana Nights. Medium body. I'm looking forward to revisiting these in a month or two.

Thank you for typing the name of the cigar. I was able to search it and so far you are the only person I've seen mention this stick.. At $80 for a bundle of 20, this sounds like its worth a shot.

@CBoukal I almost ordered another bundle to stash away because I liked it already and really do think it will improve to a very good stick, but I don't have room right now and am holding off for a couple other things.

Well, many thanks to @ilikefishes for tucking this little gem in a newbie trade. Since I know less than zero about Cubans, I waited until a perfect evening for this one, and that was last night, 70* clear skies, almost no breeze. Enjoyed this with a little Montepulciano, very tasty. Thank you, sir!
