Today's Smoke 2025

My first Cocodrilo. Off to a promising start.

Post smoke thoughts: very nice cigar until the final 1.5-2 inches, where a strong minerality and grassiness took over. Might have been affected by the kids burning some leaves around that time, so I'll definitely be watching for that when I try another.

Edit again to add more details:
Cold draw: Light, clean, grassy, herbal.
First third: Light, cedar, herbal, earthy.
Second third: Moving to medium. Some pepper kicking in, especially on the retro; earth, leather, wood.
Final third: Wood, strong minerality, grassiness.
Construction, burn, draw were excellent. Burned a little fast.
Started out a light medium and got a little stronger with time but never strayed beyond medium.
Very nice cigar but a bit of a let down at the very end. My kids were burning leaves at that point though so that could definitely have had an effect. Also, I suspect it might be a little better in the Corona Gorda size.

RA 40 Carat ER Benelux 109 (50 X 7 1/4) - was super lucky to score a few of these a while back and after smoking my first so glad I did. Flawless construction - only ashed 3 times. RA is far from a favorite marca - all of the ones I loved are long gone (RAC, 898, RAPC) - but almost every EL & RE has been great and nothing at all like a RASS or RASCC. First 2/3 light to medium body then the final third picked up in strength to very full. Wild! Almost never happens. I love 109’s and they are so rare. Usually takes me 2 hours plus to finish one but this one barely made an hour forty. I sucked it down like coca-cola. Outstanding young Havana. 94 with potential for much higher with more age.

Back when I lived in Belgium (2008-2012) I lived on the TA Benelux. To this day one of the best CC I have ever had
