Today's Smoke 2025

Hi, is it a Scepter? How was it?
Yes it was the Grand Master (Robusto). It was very mild in flavor but very creamy and complex with a nice long mild spice all the way through. It does build in strength towards the end. Also this was my first one I ever tried. The most surprsing thing about this stick was the burn time. Though it put out lots of smoke and I made sure not to over smoke. It was a burn time of almost 2 hours. For a robusto that is amazing! I would recommend taking your time with this stick and not pairing it with anything that has strong flavors. Water, ight coffee, light beer to drink.

Last Cohiba I had was trash. It was a blue label. The black label seems much better so far, and for the price, it better be. 😆

*update*

Maybe I’m getting too stuck up, but this just doesn’t cut it for a $30 stick. A Padron 1926 or a Plasencia anything destroys this. I hate buyers remorse.

I haven’t had a single Cohiba NC that was worth over $3. I think their cigars are trash and they feed off people hearing about the “cool kids smoking cohiba’s”. The entire brand thrives off people thinking they are the same as the Cuban cohibas everyone is raving about.

Sorry didn’t mean to stand on a soap box there. Please punt that brand and buy the other brands you mentioned that are worth the price

Yeah I totally agree. Back around 25 years ago, I remembered liking them, so you can imagine my extreme disappointment after these two, (bought at the same time). Now that I’ve discovered some truly great cigars, these are garbage to me. I won’t get burned twice on these. 👌

I personally like the Cohiba Red Dot. You are paying way to much for your NC Cohiba's that's for sure. For those that like to smoke them, you can find sales on them in the $5 range depending on the size. I mean don't smoke what you don't like at any price, but, if you think you would smoke another if it wasn't $30. Cigarpage is your huckleberry. A Black robusto is $6. Yeah 5 for $30.

There are many other $6 sticks that I would still pick over any NC Cohiba…😎

They were at a liquor store I frequent and a couple of the first cigars I bought because they felt familiar. I’m sure everything at that place was nonsensicallly overpriced. Just got back into smoking after a 25 year hiatus, but I’ve learned a ton since I bought these. I think honestly I wouldn’t even buy them at $5. I have just found a new preference. And have also discovered online cigar shops! 👌

Yeah... I get it. I just read you paid $30 and was comparing it to a Padron because of that. However you feel about them... they could be had for significantly less. I'm not pushing Cohiba by any means. I'm not a fan of the Black or Blue myself. But if someone else is... pay less, why not?
