Today's Smoke 2025

2017 Davidoff Double R Aniversario 7.5x50…….due to airline fuck-a-rama I wasn’t able to enjoy a cigar on Saturday so this was my first cigar upon returning home. Enjoyed during a long soak in the hot tub and it did not disappoint!

Well this is the second cigar from some buds who “commissioned” a cigar from a group of veterans who roll cigars at parties and weddings. But NJ isn’t Ybor City. To their credit, this isn’t a dog rocket, but it’s not very interesting either. I will say it is well constructed. The burn line is perfect, the draw, while a bit too open, is fine. Bit of coffee, but I wouldn’t call it “espresso”, I’d call it wet coffee grinds. Little pepper on the retrohale. But what the heck? People hire them to watch them roll cigars, which they do well. I wouldn’t buy a box, though. Fun smoke because my buds and their custom label. I’m enjoying it well enough.

Interesting concept to turn a hobby into a business. I'll admit that is one I've never heard before: "Hire us to roll cigars at your event!". Very cool. You said you wouldn't buy a box, but these are obviously fresher than fresh. I wonder if they'd age well at all. Do they sell by the box? If they are inexpensive enough, it might be worth the gamble if you think they use quality tobacco.
