This had a bit more strength/body than the previous Forbidden X. A welcome surprise. 9.2/10

Aliens. The others were rooted in religion and magic. Crystal Skull felt like a betrayal of that brand of fantasy for sci-fi that was never pre-indicated nor welcome. There are many movies that mix the two (Star Wars jumps to mind) and are great, tons of pure sci-fi that is great, but by movie 4, the audience felt like they knew what they had signed up for, and aliens wasn’t it. It would be like watching Aliens 7, and Ripley revealing that she was a wizard this whole time.My usual San Cristobal & a War Witch while watching Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull . . . again.
Honestly, I don't know why this installment in the franchise gets such a bad rap. It's Temple of Doom that's the terrible one!
