Today's Smoke 2023

How you like the Matilde?

I want not too bad at all. It was on the milder side of medium to me, with leathery notes dominating. Nothing earth-shattering for me - it was a little one dimensional but solid nonetheless.

Good description, im just curious since its really popular in sweden

This is #3 of a 5-pack. The previous two were a bust. Not because of flavor, but because of construction. I think now that I simply got a bad batch. About half of the forward end is packed very loose, and the smoking end is just a bit tighter, but not much. They don't burn evenly and they don't stay lit. This one was the same.

What if I were to take the other two and dry them out a bit?
My humidors are all running 65 - 68 %

For real, brother, check out the newbie sampler trade. It will be worth it like @kann mentioned. There’s nothing wrong with those CI sampler packs if that floats your boat, but the newb sampler will give you the opportunity to try some high quality smokes that have been better cared for and 9/10 times more enjoyable.

Avo 90th Classic Covers Volume 3
(Avo Improvisation Series 2016 release)

First album I ever bought and the only album I owned for about 2 years. Fitting of such a cigar.

Wrapper: Habano 2000 (Ecuador)
Binder: Mexican Negro San Andres
Filler: All Dominican
– San Vicente Mejorado Visus, San Vicente Mejorado Visus, Piloto Seco, Hybrid Corojo/Olor Visus – Aged 10 years
Criollo Seco – Aged 11 years.

I've been meaning to check these out. What's the recommended vitola to try?
This, I think, toro is the only one I've gotten my hands on, so someone else with more experience with them would have to chime in. I can tell you that the few sticks I've had from Selected Tobacco (Byron, Attabey, Bandolero) have all been tasty and are fantastically constructed. High cost, but you can tell they're not just riding on the name to justify it.

From an AJ Fernandez sampler pack - Ave Maria Reconquista Box-Pressed Perfecto in 6 x 60.

This is a full bodied stick, and quite tasty. Well constructed - and just a nice smoke.

If you are looking for cheaper cigar with variety. This is definitely better than most CI bundles

Sorry to hear that ... I really enjoyed Germany.
Happy to hear you enjoyed it so its not a wasted trip. For me its mostly very expensive compared to the other European countries i visit.
Mind me asking where you from?
