Today's Smoke 2023

Well I tried again and just don’t think they’re for me. Stored like everything else I have at 65%. Burn issues throughout, tunneling. Unraveling wrapper when I took the label off. It’s too bad cause overall it wasn’t a bad smoke I just couldn’t enjoy it. I’ll save my $$ for something that works for me! Smoke what you like, like what you smoke!

You're not familiar with RYJ? Or were you being facetious? If serious, for a better NC RYJ, try the Reserva Real. They brought in AJ and completely retooled it. Look for the blue band.
hahahahahaha it just warms my little heart that someone actually reads my posts. :)

But, in answer your question, I have had one other RYJ - a Reserva Real (pic, below). I liked it better than the 1875, but that's just one time for each., so hard to tell for sure. There ends my familiarity with these.

Thank you for the recommendation. I assume that you mean the second pic, below. (I had to go and look it up)

Smoked the same as @Pugman1943.

Taste was amazing, draw was amazing. But @Pugman1943 did your Wrapper also look like photo below?

I'm guessing it's something to do with production humidity being different from humidor humidity. But I've never seen this much wrinkles. It came In the same coffin sampler as the majestic I smoked yesterday.

No! Mine was smooth as ( you fill in the punch line ). Heck of a smoke.

LaRiqueza #4 .... great cigar, even better story.

I lost a NFL bet to Infinity and naturally, being a newbie, I was very concerned what to send someone like Brian.

I wasn't knowledgable about Cubans so I sent him some of my favorites including some 2008 Original Release #4's. A couple years later, Brian lost a NFL bet to me. After some weeks of not hearing from Brian, I called John @jfields and he informed me that Brian had passes away.

Brian had helped John start a new business and they became close. When Brian passed, his wife gave John some of Brians cigars. A few years later, I was at John and Donella's.

John gave me a partial box of Original Release #4's and said that Brian had labeled this box with my name.

I think this might be the last one!

RIP brother!

And thank you John!

And while I was composing this ..... the cigar is awesome!
