Today's Smoke 2020

The brand named after my favorite novel The Count of Monte Cristo, by Alexandre Dumas was created in 1935 by Alonso Menendez. This was not long after he had purchased the Cuban Particulares factory in July the same year. The No. 2 was one of the original sizes and quickly became a favorite.

I’m not a huge fan of most larger ring gauge sized cigars, but I always love this vitola when aged. This one is from the 1960’s and has evidently been well cared for over the years.
