Today's Smoke 2016

Some genius sent me a fifteen year old Cohiba. WTF am I going to do with an old cigar? I could frame it, or put it in a glass jar. I guess I just better smoke it. Thank you (I guess;)). You know who you are.

Viaje super shot followed by padron 1926 Ann. 80th year. Darn good smokes today in memory of my 14 year old golden that we had to put down this morning. He was a great dog and I will miss him. He was my first pet.
Awww, man. I'm sorry to hear.

I'm terribly sorry for your loss. Dogs are family. I'm sure he will be waiting for you, tennis ball in mouth, on the other side of the rainbow bridge. Take care. :(

Hoyo de Monterrey Piramides, EL 2004. Unfortunately past its prime. This was a cigar that had an almond, vanilla undertone to it. This one was flat and one dimensional at best. Tried to see if there was anything left so smoked it half way and had to toss it. Smoked a ton of these over the years and they were some of the best ELs I ever had. Have a few left. Some cigars age gracefully others just lose it over time.

If there was ever a dessert cigar...tastes like a spicy cake, sweet and delicious.

Ha! Replied to Kyle on FB the other day telling him I got "powdered donut" at the start and eventually some light red pepper. These smokes are great.

Started the day with a La Palina Illumination corona. While they won't take the place of Goldies, for half the price I think they're some of the best LP's I've smoked. Some rough edges here and there but I think they'll age like champs.

I think I still have some so I suppose it makes no sense to keep them any longer unless you think they are going through the 12 year sick period. Haha I'll try one tomorrow.

PS the HdM EL pyramids I have are 2003.

Smoked out a bit . . . guess I'm just so happy it's Thursday! ;)

Illusione eccj, San Cristobal Fabuloso, Roma Craft Aquitaine Anthropologie . . . and a very, aaaah, diverse watchlist----2nd episode of Blindspot Season 2 (off to a really good start, but the episode titles appear to be in code and I'm no good at anagrams), then Zootopia, which I had originally watched in the theater with my grandniece Cloey but had to leave before the end because of a fire alarm, and then an episode of Boardwalk Empire to finish out the evening!
