HU Connie No 1 MEB Feb 16. One awful cigar. The wrapper was bad and the taste was flat and very reminiscent of a Baccarat or Thompson house brand from the cigar boom of the 90's. I hope the rest of the box is better and they will sit for a while. Aging would not have helped this poor cigar.

Did you have that one ROTT?

Honestly, I had one a week after I got it and felt the same way. Then after two months I grabbed another one and was really surprised/impressed. Not sure if it helps, but I've never tried a cigar that tasted that bad ROTT and improved so much after acclimating. Certainly I've tasted smaller differences, but this was horrid to pretty dang good.

They sat in the humidor for a couple of weeks after receiving them. In fairness, I picked the worst looking cigar of the box. I can bring you the second worst looking if you would like.

I had a similar experience. Was disappointed with my Connie 1 ROTT, but after a rest, they got much better.

Those were both just stellar, stellar smokes, btw. The Neanderthal was my second one ever and the Tat, which I'm finishing right now, my first Reserve.

I'm deciding whether to stay up for a San Cristobal and another episode of Banshee.
