To Tubo or not to Tubo...thats is the question..

CI is having a special on a box of 30 tubo's right now...so I'm thinking to myself...do you leave them in the tube and put in humidor or pull them out...if you pull them out WTF is the point of the tubo other than protection...and scrap aluminum...

Keep them in the tube. Not sure about this particular tube, but some have a cedar lining that helps with aging.

I take them out. Mold could grow inside and you would never know until it is to late.

I usually take mine out and keep some tubes laying around for when I'm going somewhere that I'm going to be smoking.

I know I'm a noob and all that, but whenever I come to an existentialist question like this I just smoke the cigar and the problem goes away. And I feel all better because of it.

Now for what I do, and keep in mind I have no idea of what I'm talking about, I take them out of the tube and put them in the humidor, and I keep the tubes in case I have to transport them (which to date has never happened.) I leave the cello on the cigars as I put them on the humidor.

I take them out of the tubes and put them in the humi. Unless they are crystal sealed them I leave them. The tubes come in handy for transporting cigars especally in the car I usually keep 6 in the car so I have a selection on a long drive.

I picked up a weekly JR special, Perdomo En Vidrio's. They come in a crystal tube. I took 5 and put them in the humi bare, the other 5 i just took the cork out the top. Unfortunately I think they suck either way. Oh well live and learn

IMHO the tubes and cello have to go. I like 'em all "nakie" in my humi. but hey im in to naked things, that's just me.

I leave cigars in the packaging they came in. No need to go taking everything apart.

I leave tubed cigars in their tubes with the caps on. It's been theorized that they age better (though more slowly) that way, which makes sense to me.

If I were buying cigars to smoke right away, I would probably take them out of the tubes to "degas," as it were.
