Thoughts so far?

the pm's coming directly to my iphone and not having to log on is awesome

the only thing i wonder is can we have the pinned topics seperate from the new topic like we did before?
 
I love this new layout. The PM system is what really makes this upgrade what it is. Great work as always Todd!!!
 
Love the new layout Bob. The skin is what it is, but that doesn't matter a whole lot to me.

I really love the mobile version, TONs easier to handle.
 
At first I was thinking that I came to the wrong site accidentally.

The old skin was much better IMO. :whistling:

I should visit here more often so much had changed since my last visit,

I'm having trouble seting it up on the blackberry can't seem to ghet it to show only the new posts. Maybe I have to upgrade the os on the crackberry?
 
Overall it seems to work pretty well.

While browsing through the forums though, it seems hitting the back button doesn't work. It brings up an error message. I just need to learn to navigate a little differently. I can get more specific if you'd like. Not a huge deal though.

I've noticed on a different forum I'm on (not cigar related) going back and forth is better. (I believe that is V-bulletin) Even on the old version of CP going back and forth when view new content was a bit easier.

Thanks for hosting this community! It's a great place to learn new things. Where else would I have heard about "femskin" but here? *blech*

Rod you did a great job like you always do, that is why your community has grown to be the best. As far as the blue, I can't read a damn thing!! :laugh: The site looks great and preforms well, keep up the great work.
 
I love the new features Rod, and am looking forward to what you have in mind for the new layout!
 
I'm old and I hate change...and the brightness of the blue hurts my eyes as I look through my bifocals. :whistling:

Other than that, this is very cool Rod. Great job keeping us up to date. I've had no problems at all...now, figuring the new stuff out is another story!

Did I mention I hate change? :laugh:

The new features are great Rod, thanks. As someone else said above, I thought I'd ended up at a wrong site first when I saw the skin, but it is what it is and the new things that make it better far outweigh the baby blue IMHO.

Same here Tony, and I have an updated OS... Like, just updated it a couple days ago.
 
For the most part, I really like it Rod. The only thing I miss from the "old way" is the "top" button you could hit in a thread and it would automatically take you back to the top ofthe thread instead of scrolling all the way back up to hit "view new content".
 
I'm still having the problem when I click the dark blue forum icon to 'mark as read' and it does not change. Only happens sometimes. The only way I've found to fix it is to click on the forum's header "General Discusiion," "The Good Life," etc, and click the icon there. I can then go back to the main index page, and it will work.

Running FF 3.0.13. Other than that, looks good so far.
 
Definitely took some getting used to, however it's great Rod! Thanks for all the work you've done and are doing. You ARE the man!
 
I too love the PM system now...it makes it MUCH easier to read and respond to people when it's conversation style. I look forward to the new skin and appreciate all that you do. Keep up the good work!
 
Good job on the updates. Everything looks good. Curious though, in the old board, we were able select view all posts from past day, past week, past month. Seems like the only way to do that now is by day. Any way to get that part of the old system back?

Only asking because I am a CP junkie. Don't post much but I like to read most of the topics.
 
Have to agree with most on the blue skin. Makes the site feel a little colder. I like the conversational PM feature. Miss the 'Top' button in each post. The 'back to top' feature at the bottom of the pages doesn't always seem to work.

Overall - so far, so good. I've been figuring out all the nuances and getting used to everything.
 
I primarily use my iPhone and have found it difficult beyond belief. It looks totaly different than on a regular pc.
Almost like a lofi version. I dont get pms popping up when I get them anymore. I fixed that by having cp email me now.
I used to use the view new posts tab From mi iPhone and it worked great. Now I can't seem to find that and am missing a lot of stuff.

I spent a bit of time on a desktop the other day and found some of the new stuff pretty cool. Like the what's on your mind deal. That is a recipie for some funny stuff.
New PMs in conversation form rock! I just wish there was a way to make it the same in my phone.
