There's an hour and 54 minutes of my life I'll never get back.

Totally, I went back and watched one of his first movies "Darkman", and it was amazing to watch his immense talent in such a bad role in such a bad movie....he took it totally seriously, it's crazy to watch now.

As a Sam Raimi fan, I got s kick out of Darkman. It wasn't the Evil Dead, but I was rooting for the movie to be good.

Just put Darkman in my queue. I don't think I've seen it since it first came out. Hard to believe it was 25 years ago. Damn, you guys are getting old. :D

One of my favorite gangster/heist movies is Sexy Beast with Ray Winstone (Mr. French in The Departed). Once you figure out what the hell Ben Kingsley is saying, it's great. Ian McShane to boot. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend a viewing.

Oh man, Face/Off is on HBO on demand this week...what a fantastic awful movie. Before John Woo finally gave up and started directing movies for the USA Network.....

John Woo's recipe....
Trench coat blowing back in the wind.
1911's in each hand.
Never run out of bullets until a hand to hand scene is needed.
Good guy seems bad, and bad guy seems good.

That being said, loved his Chinese movies Hard Boiled Cop and The Killer.
