I was just up at the fresh market getting some fresh swordfish and walked by their hot dog selection. All kinds of organic style dogs, hahahaha. made me laugh. If that isn't irony.

Hot Dougs in Chicago. Nothing even comes close to a rattlesnake with blue cheese and drizzled in honey or a saussise de toulouse (no idea how you actually spell that, but it is awesome). Check out their "Specials" at hotdougs.com. They are a in a league of their own

I've been to Pinks in LA and I don't think they hold a candle to a coney with cheese, onion, mustard and ketchup from Coney Island in Duluth. The original on Superior St. Not the one on First St. The original still uses old fashioned skin on wieners.

Always been a Rutt's Hut guy...since I could remember. A ripper with the homemade relish, a side of onion rings, and a beer....pure heaven.

Who wouldn't love a hot dog cooked by being deep fried in oil?

Drinking in the bar after a race there is a guy on the corner.

He grills the dogs wrapped in bacon.
Placed in a bun, mayo, mustard, and fresh tomato salsa. HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!!!

So you drink a few beers and go outside for one of these.
Go back inside drink a few more beers
Go outside for another hot dog.

Repeat

also, having cooked several over an open fire for school groups for 17 years I would say the best beef hotdog is Eckridge with Kroger's brand a second (probably made by them). osker Meyer is crap. CornKing is filled with bone fragments.

I'd have to say that my perfect hot dog is a Chicago dog at Wrigley. To me, nothing beats a hotdog at a ball game. Add a little onion, relish, and mustard, and I am all set.
