What I am finding out more about expensive cigars is that they might not necessarily be better..just rare...

are there any big expensive smokes like the one in this htread that are actually worth the price??

The Padron 1926 #1 is a $20 list and would be one of the few I might spend that much on. The Opus X A is another but I'd have to be in the right frame of mind.

And it's "1964 Anniversary" NOT "Anniversario"  I dunno why many vendors call them "Anniversarios" but nothing I've ever seen from Padron calls them "1964 Anniversarios"

I've definitely seen older boxes where on both the box and the bands they are Padron 1964 Serie "Aniversario". in fact I've got a box of Diplomaticos that are 1964 "Aniversarios".

I was just trying to think of super duper premiums, as defined by the above criteria.  Rarity is not a factor.

I could only think of two off the top of my head:

PA 1929s
Greycliffes

Maybe there are some big Cohibas that go for that much?

Padron 1926's are NOT "Anniversary," that designation is used ONLY when you are talking about the 1964's NOT the 1926's, therefore it is wrong to say "Padron Anniversary 1926"

Oh and alex, there is no such thing as a "Padron 40th Anniversary 1964" the Padron 40th Anniversary are 1926 ONLY not 1964.

The Padron serie 1926 4oth anniversary, Is the name The Padron 1964 anniversary series is the name also.Just no 40th :thumbs: its to celebrate the 30th anniversary.


The Gurkha Black Diamond? Im not sure its pretty new but probably in that category. Also the Partaga 150.

Though they are not $20, the Padron 64's are definitely worth the price. A few months ago I got a box of 25 exclusivo naturals for $185.

Man you bum i paid $250 for the exclusivo in maduro..you gotta let me in on those deals man...dang...jeesh.
of course being a padron whore $12.50 is well worth it for the exclusivo maduro.
