I am here on the patio working way to hard to keep this baby going. We all know where that leads, off flavor, and an experience that does not meet expectations.

She is acting like she needs more down time, been a few weeks in the humi at 68%. She should be good to go, but alas this is not the case.

So this brings us to the question of all questions.

Cello?
On or off....

🤣

I usually leave it on until I put them in the dry box, then they’re naked until I smoke ‘em.

On until selected as tribute to the tobacco gods.

Well, I went through my humidor last night and pulled the cello off of at least 2 of everything. Let's call it a happy medium.

I also need to check the calibration on the Hydra to make sure it is accurate

If you smoked it with the cello on, that is more than likely the reason for the off taste, unless of course it was a Gurkha.

The cello can also lead to burn issues, while it's fun to watch the cello curl up and melt away with each puff, it can often restrict proper air flow causing the need for relights.

You guys fuggin kill me!

Every one of my cigars is tunneling and has to have multiple relights. My hygrometers are correct and I'm sure that it isn't a humidity issue like every single one of you has been telling me. HELP! I don't know what's going on!

That brings back memories

I prefer removing the cello, and wrapping each cigar in saran wrap. Then I wrap the whole bundle (or box) in saran wrap and put it in the humi.

Turns out the toilet tank is perfect for properly humidifying saran wrapped cigars. Don't use glad wrap, it is inferior.
