So when @hydro-terp posted his stunning new sky blue Perdomo ashtray photo I began to search for threads with ashtray in the title. They are all surprisingly short. Of the “I just found this!” Or “I’m restoring this” kind of thing.

Then @Rod posted, “Funny how something as simple as an ashtray can amplify your enjoyment of a cigar.” Or something to that effect. But he had really hit on something with that comment.

So post your favorite ashtray in here. Whether it’s something you inherited from your dad or grandfather, a flea market pickup, or an empty string bean can (yeah, that was in that thread! 🤣), post it here! Just a pic, but if there’s a backstory, let’s hear it!

So this one was swag from the Brew City Cigar Fest in Milwaukee some years ago. Genuine Waterford Crystal. Weighs like a brick! I dropped something on it, hence the chips you can see but I still break it out for the nice sticks.IMG_7240.jpeg

This one I got at a B&M probably 10-15 years ago with a box of RyJ 1875 sticks. My “daily driver” you see it in most of my daily smoke pics.IMG_7241.jpeg

@hydro-terp if you don’t mind, sir, kindly post that gorgeous blue Perdomo photo in here? It’s a stunner.

And @Rod you said you collect? Any from you would be much appreciated!

@JoeMO wow! That green vintage one is sweet, thanks for posting! What my deceased uncle might have rested his Cuesta Rey’s from the drugstore in.

Edit: oops wrong cigar identification if anyone spotted it before I removed it. DOH!

I got mine right from Perdomo. That Upmann green is gorgeous!

I think this thread has legs.

And I think I’m in trouble. May have a new addiction. 🙄

What is funny is I definitely like the ashtray a lot more than I like the cigars, let me qualify that statement

I would rather smoke a Perdomo ashtray than a Perdomo cigar

I was in KC the other week and visited Diebels Sportsman Gallery in the Plaza area and enjoyed a cigar in their really nice lounge, members only after 4 I think. Killer place if you are in that area and super nice folks and walk in selection! Anyway they had all kinds of manly stuff out for sale including ashtrays, most of which were hollow underside.

Needless to say I was so happy to find that my Perdomo, that arrived after I came home, had a solid base.

Little things you know.

$30 is pocket change. I can drop that at Five Guys almost. Maybe I will order another and just keep it in the box. One is none...
