The Last Herfer Standing Pass.....

gandalf et al,

You will let me know who the next recipient is and the confirmation number. Keep the suspense going for 2-3 more days. More fun that way.

14 definite......1 more opening

I'm gonna start getting everything ready. Be a little busy tomorrow at the church's Polish Fall Festival (busy eating pierogies...lol). Hopefully there will be one more brave soul sign up and I can get this out Monday.

I would like to be in if there is still room. If I am a day late I will understand.

Great idea for a pass . . . hats off to you!

That makes 15. Ifn' I hear from LeePitts before everything is ready (Sunday night?), I'll include him. Other than that, this one's full.

random musings as I write out the adress labels:

5 in the East - PA(2), NJ(2), NY
2 in the South - FL, AL
4 in the Midwest - IL, OK, ND, KS
5 in the West - CA(2), AZ, WY, ID

I started to write Duncan, Idaho....guess what I've been rereading.

2 from the same zip code...never had that happen before.

1 apparent lawyer - I'll try not to hold it against him :D

In the myriad number of passes, splits, sales and trades I've done over the years, don't remember anybody from Kansas being involved.

I wonder how idyllic it is in Fresh Meadows.

I wonder how noisy it is on Railroad Lane.

I wonder how cold it gets in Halliday, ND?

Yea, most things here are a couple years behind. Fashion, economy, fads, etc. We get there though, we let the guys on the east and left coasts blaze the trail, then we refine it to an art  (of course by then, no one cares...)

I'll be out of town from the 26th to the 29th. going to the chesapeake bay for some striper fishing. just a heads up to let you all know.
thanks
Dan

So did we make today's mail? Who was the lucky first recipient?

dan,
That's a 2 fish penalty. You can drop them off at my house on the way home.

Tim,
We're not gonna post who the next recipient is. Let everybody twist in the wind for another coupla days. The recipient will post when he gets it and everyone else can breathe a sigh of relief.

If and when any of you receive the pass, you will e-mail me with the name of the next recipient along with the DC# and then merely post that you have sent it off.

For those of you who will try mojo, juju or any other type of arcane method to win this pass, all I can say is it's time to sharpen your pins, shake dem chicken bones or ready the goat for sacrifice.

Let The Games Begin!

<sigh>

Ya know, someday I'm gonna learn how to make those big colorful letters.

Anyways, the games have begun. An envelope was chosen at random; even I didn't open it until I was at the Post Office. I would guess a Wednesday or Thursday delivery. Which one of you will be the first to go??????? Only I know and I'm not telling!

1. do we post our puts and takes too?
2. how many cigars are we allowed to take and to replace with something of similar value/variety.

sorry my first pass and i wanted to understand the rules here completely. Thanks!

Awliuo,

Normally, you would post your puts and takes and would be allowed to take as many as you want (as long as no one in the pass has an issue with your puts). However, as you can probably already tell, this ain't your "normal" pass. :D Therefore, Melski might want to do this differently. What do you say Melski? Should this all be a surprise?

Well, there are a lot of new people in this pass and it would probably be helpful for them to see puts and takes. However, if it isn't posted because it is going to be a surprise, I would suggest that all P's and T's be approved by the host prior to sending it off to the next participant.

Just my $.02.

Puts and takes will be posted. No surprises on the cigars. Once they are posted, I will make the necessary changes to the first post on this thread.

Mea culpa if I have not made everything plain. When you're used to doing something, you sometimes forget that this may be a new experience for others. If there are any questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Hi-Ho, Hi-HO, it's off to work I go.......

What about Awliou's other question concerning how many takes a person can have? I replied earlier that there usually isn't a max. number of takes (as long as the puts and takes are approved)- but Melski, you might want to clarify that as well so everyone is on the same page. ;)
