Glad to hear it finally made it up there. I was starting to get worried. I sent it out while I was still in Memphis before heading back up to Knoxville for college. I saw that you were away on the fishing trip and figured it was just at home waiting on you.

While I applaud your enthusiasm you generally have to be here more then one day before getting a potato. Kick back, become a member, join in some of the threads and wait a bit. Your turn will come up before you know it.

Let's not forget the Potato bomb is not a normal pass or bomb... no real need to announce or otherwise someone may feel guilty about keeping the entire thing, since that is an option!

That being said... it is on the way to someone else who might be blinded by it's arrival! :laugh:

Hodgy, it did take awhile, but regular mail to Alaska goes by way of China, then Australia, then Germany, across Canada by dogsled team then up here by FOG on snowshoes! I always use Priority as it is just as fast as in the 'lower 48'
 
...returning from my drive to the post office and grocery store, I rounded the corner only to find the smodering remains of what was a perfectly good mailbox. But, there was more; couldn't quite put my finger on it. Then - as I approached, like a train coming off the tracks, I figured it out: this bomb was a russet.

Give me a few to collect my thoughts; keeping this monster is out of the question. not sure if she goes forward unscathed, or if there will be some putting / taking. Should have the decision this PM (had planned to go through the humi anyway...)....:cool:

I'll "get 'er done" today or tomorrow at the latest - count on it - and post the results.

Off topic - I'll book Ms. B.B.S.'s and my Vegas trip next week for January. Matty - sure would love to hook up with you and any other BOTL's in town and herf and swap lies, tell tall tales, etc. I'll let you know when things firm up a bit. The week of 1-22-06 is looking very likely....
