The gist of it:

This will be the final lesson pass, as the stress of running them has taken years off my life. I felt I needed to run one last iteration to round it out to 5. I want to call out that since this will be the last of these, I am extending an open invite to anyone in good standing who has been in a previous lesson pass. I only sent out invites to people who aren't really active and wouldn't see this thread so if you have history and didn't get a PM just lmk.

The first theme of this pass is learning something new. I am big on
learning about (and how to do) new things. Each participant in this
pass, at the time of their P/T, will teach us about something we may or
may not already know. For example, the lesson might be it in the form of teaching us a skill, a
recipe, a rule of etiquette or grammar :whistling: , or even just a story that gives us
uhm... insight into who they are and what they are all about.

If you don't know my pass rules this is not for you. If you can't commit to flipping the pass in a reasonable amount of time this is not for you. If you don't confirm the address and readiness to receive of the next person in line before you send the pass the liability is on you. Effraim does not need to get my pass again.

You and your passes sort of remind me of this joke I once heard.


Once there was this hunter, out in the forest, hunting bears.

As the hunter approached a clearing in the forest, he saw a bear. One of the biggest bears he'd ever seen. So he crouches down behind a largish rock, takes careful aim with his shotgun, and fires. After the smoke clears, he runs down to the clearing, and the bear's body is gone!

He searches the clearing, but to no avail. Then there's a tap-tap-tap on his shoulder. The hunter looks around, and it's the bear! "You just tried to kill me, didn't you?". Says the bear."Uh, no. No I didn't". The hunter, taken aback by a talking bear, lies."Yes you did. Don't lie, or I'll rip your arms off" "Uh, yeah, yeah I did." "Alright", says, the bear, "I'll let you go if you do one thing for me." "What's that?", inquires the hunter. "Give me a head-job." "What??" "On your knees" So, the hunter obliges, and leaves the clearing.

Well, the hunter's pissed-off. "Humiliated by a bear!", he thinks to himself. "I'll teach that bastard". He runs to the local town, and buys an Uzi sub-machine gun, and runs back to the clearing. The bear is still there, basking in the sun. "I've got you now, bear", the hunter says to himself, and opens fire from behind the rock.

Again, after the smoke clears, the hunter runs down to the clearing. No bear. Tap-tap-tap on his shoulder. Gulp. "You just tried to kill me again, didn't you?". Says the bear. "Uh, no. No I didn't", lies the hunter. "Yes you did. Don't lie, or I'll rip your legs off" "Ok! I did." "Alright", says, the bear, "I'll let you go if you do one thing for me." "What's that?", inquires the hunter. "Drop your pants and bend over" "No way!" "Ok. Prepare to get your legs ripped off." "Alright! I'll do it, you bastard" So, the hunter obliges getting screwed in the ass, and leaves the clearing, walking rather gingerly.

"I'll fing get the bastard this time", the hunter thinks to himself, and buys a rocket launcher. He runs back to the clearing, and blasts everything into oblivion. Trees are on fire, rocks are broken, the ground is scorched. Again, after the smoke clears, the hunter runs down to the clearing. No bear.

Tap-tap-tap on his shoulder. Gulp. "You don't come here for the hunting, do you?", says the bear.
 
...And so it starts.

I look forward to this pass every year. There is always something new to learn, and I always learn a little more about the CP Family, the brotherhood we all share, and how to host and play in a pass.

I would consider joining, but I need more clarification of when it'll be run to make sure I'm available and what the list of smokes are so that I can make sure I don't get in over my head since I tend to keep a limited stock of sticks (less than 20).

1. You are eligible according to Phil's standards (not that he has any)
2. You can see the cigars in play, and have some idea if you can trade at the level set.

When the time is right all will be made known, no need to jump just yet.

Thanks Tim. Yes this is the fifth iteration of this pass and it is invite only. I am proxying in a few people from the other pass that got killed mid-stream but I plan to keep this a little smaller than usual to reduce the clusterfuck. Should be able to get a preliminary pass list up over the weekend.
