I'll preface this by saying I'm sorry, I didn't take pictures while smoking, most of it was while driving and managing a stick shift, camera, and cigar is a little too much for me.
So I decided I couldn't wait until Halloween to smoke my first Monster, so I went over to my friends house and watched the end of the edward norton Hulk rendition. Shortly after that I had to leave due to my friend having an early job interview, hence the lack of pictures since I had to smoke while I drove. Also, right before smoking I ate a McChicken and some McNuggets, so that may have thrown my palate off, hehe.
The cigar looks great, kind of a pallid wrapper which I thought added well to the monster theme, and an imposing smoke in the double corona size. Right after the light it was quite a spice bomb, but without any other flavor to it, I was afraid it would be a disappointment, but I kept going. Once it got towards the end of the first third the spice fell to the background, and some really REALLY great tobacco flavor came through, rather smooth as well. This continued solidly through the second third, at which point the spice came back a little, along with a grassy flavor, with the quality tobacco still coming through. As it approached the band I purged it, and a good cocoa flavor came through, with the grassy flavor still lingering. I smoked it down to a little under an inch, and I must say the last bit was really incredible. If you, like me, get a little discouraged at the start keep going, it's well worth it. I'll be smoking another one in a day or two to see if this was a one off or not, but I must say I definitely wasn't disappointed in the purchase.
