Tatuaje Drac

Okay, I found that Drac in one of my wooden humis and took it with me while walking the dogs tonight. Lit well enough and initially, the flavors were pretty good, thought it would be that way the whole time. Didn't make it past the half way mark with that stick, the burn didn't tunnel any, it did kind of burn crooked, but that happens on some cigars I walk with.

It had to do with the flavor, I just couldn't get into what it was giving me, something harsh and a flavor profile that didn't fit my expectations. Even if I had relegated it to yard gar status, I probably would have pitched it. Clint, I know you liked the flavors well enough, so any caution I had about this stick had to do with the wrapper burn and tunneling.

Since I didn't want to end the night like that, I got a Padron delicias to see if my recent head cold still was messing with my taste buds. Nope, the little delicias was straight on with the usual Padron flavor I've come to expect from their regular line. Took that down to the just past the band and I'm still scratching my head about that Drac.

My only guess is I had a dud, but seeing as these are not a regular stock item, I won't be trying to chase any down, regardless of how cheap I see them. I will say that the new capa especial and Fausto stuff is a flavor I like right now so I may just track down a box to age.

Sorry to hear that Dave. Like I said, the initial flavors I got were pretty darned good, they just were so fleeting due to the burn issues. I wouldn't hunt anymore of these down either as it sounds they are more trouble than they are worth. I tried the new 7th Capa Especial this week and really liked it. For the price point I would stick to those and the Brown labels all day long.
