Wow. The Surly 16 Grit release party was a helluva good time last night.
Here are some highlights.
The Beer - Very, very good. Reminded everyone in my group of Furious. Very citric with a ton of hops and a little hint of mint and a few others. The is a double IPA and it did not hit us until one of the Surly guys pointed out it is 10% ABV. We were stumbling after 3 pints. So much fun.
The Surly Guys - Practically the entire brewery staff was present...great bunch of people. They love their product.
DENVERDOG and TKOEPP - I was not able to procure any for you. It was all taps, no growlers and no plans to can it. I apologize if I got your hopes up, but hopefully I will get another opportunity to make it up to you.
