*No sources or exact prices will be discussed here*

I've noticed that in the past few weeks, there have been significant price drops for many brands and through many vendors. Is this just in response to the current economic situation worldwide, or is it a cyclical thing from Habanos, SA, or what? Do you think this trend will continue or is now the time to place an order?

Come on now, is that really necessary?

What Does Cyclical Industry Mean?
A type of an industry that is sensitive to the business cycle, such that revenues are generally higher in periods of economic prosperity and expansion, and lower in periods of economic downturn and contraction.

Companies in cyclical industries can deal with this type of volatility by implementing cuts to compensations and layoffs during bad times, and paying bonuses and hiring en masse in good times. Cyclical industries include those that produce durable goods such as raw materials and heavy equipment.

:D

I've noticed things seem cheaper in US dollars. Haven't really kept track of Euro prices. Maybe it's the exchange rate?

The exchange rate has gotten significantly worse over the last week or so. Ever since the Fed announcement they were buying $300 billion in long term treasuries.

Just wish that I had enough disposable income to take advantage of all these sales.

just in time for income tax returns too. I've noticed this also though. It's pretty sad that I recieve my check next friday and have already blown it. I even went out and bought a new 100 qt. cooler for the occasion.

All the major price cuts I've seen have been on vintage (99-01) stock. Quality varies, mostly hit and miss, but some outstanding cigars can be found for cheap. This has more to do with the fact that this type of stock hasn't moved for the past decade because of concerns over construction/ quality than the faltering economy.

Oh, by the way, I ain't dead yet. I'm just in a semi-permanent state of repose.

There was also mention of a vendor or wholesaler(not sure which), that went out of business - bankrupt?
Stock was sold on the penny.

At least that's what was mentioned. I have yet to see a business report.
