Brown with an amber tint to it, this Christmas beer has plenty of carbonation and a very large head. The aroma is of fig, date and cherry with the brown malts coming off as cake. The flavor is big on the fruits (cherry, dates and raisins) with a spice cake in the middle and a light hopping at the end. This beer being rich, fruity and strong (10%) this is what Belgian beer is all about.

Picked up one these last night! Will be giving a test run sometime later this week and will try my best to a decent review.

Now that sounds like a great beer!!! Awaiting your test!

Man, I wish I could find this around here!
Looking forward to your review bro!!!

I have some bad news. Called my neighbor over to enjoy this beer with me. I grabbed the beer out of the fridge and a nice cigar to enjoy. I turned on the heater and got all nestled in my chair on the patio. Well, the heater went out just as I was about to pop the cap. I got up and leaned over the table to restart the heater. If any one is familiar with North Face jackets, then you know they have elastic tightening strings all over the damn place. One of the strings got lassoed around the top of the bottle and knocked it off the table breaking it into quite few pieces. Apparently my dogs enjoyed it since they were lapping it up as I was trying to pick up the glass.

And I'll quote Jonas... "Dude."

I drank mine on Christmas night after everyone left. I needed it! It's a nice quad, spicy, lots of raisins, malt, and 10% ABV.
For some reason, I was under the impression that it was supposed to be spiced, but the spiciness seemed just like typical Belgian Ale yeast spice.

I didn't get a chance on Christmas, so I'm enjoying mine right now! I'm with you bro... thought there would be a little more "spice", but its still a damn good beer!!! Amazing head, and lacing on it. I'm pairing it up with a DC Robusto No. 5!!!

Had one on Christmas Eve and I agree with Pete that there were no signs of spice as far as I could tell. I thought it was a bit over-carbonated and thin. I will give it a second chance sometime soon.
