So, I got my humidor on saturday, I put distilled water in a pot in it blah blah blah
You know the story as in an earlier thread. So, I put the uncalibrated gauge in it
for about 3 hours, it's reading the upper edge of 75%-76%

So, I plan to calibrate it in a tupper ware box with a pot of salt and a few drops of water
overnight for 8 hours then adjust it in the morning before I leave to study!

Sound like a plan or does it sound like a plan?! :D

Good luck. For what it's worth, you could've updated the other thread with this info. Hope you get it sorted out.

Sounds like you are making the same mistake most of us made when we started out... stressing out about your humidor lol.

Get some beads http://heartfeltindu...com/default.asp or a few Boveda Packs http://www.bovedapacks.com/ and relax.

And the best way to make sure your gauge is telling you the truth is one of these. http://www.bovedapac...alog.aspx?pid=5

The wet towel method? what's that all about? why do they say the reading should be 98% isn't that ridiculous?

What wet towel method? You buy the kit you throw the Hygrometer in a bag with the kit and leave it sit and you are done.
