So you think you can MOOCH with the best?

Thanks much Dave. Sorry I missed ya on your trip up towards my neck of the woods. :( I hope they show up today. :D The mail guy should be here any minute now.

No biggie, Beast. Although it would have been a lot of fun, Carrie and I did somehow manage to have some fun on our own up there.

Next time we're going up, I'll try to track you down.

Dave :D

When I got to work this morning, the postal carrier was unloading on the receiving dock. He had a package for ME. It was from Dave. I took it to my desk and started unwrapping. Had about 4 other people watching with interest as I looked at each stick. I smelled em all, and then placed them in my Humi. Some nice looking sticks in that bunch man. Thanks Dave, I will enjoy each one. :D

Glad to hear they made it to you intact. Hope you enjoy them all.

Thanks for playing!
Dave

IT has arrived!!!! WHUUUUWHOOOOOO!!!! Thanks Dave. :D Box fell out of my door today. Nice surprise. Looks like there's a few good smokes in there and alot I've never seen, so I'm looking forward to burning into them. :) The wife says that should hold me awhile, and she's taking the checkbook and goin shoppin. :( AAAAHHHH!! What do she know anyway. :p LOL. Thanks again for the contest.

ATTENTION CONTEST WINNERS:

I just got a note from PuroBrat - seems at least one of the cigars I sent him had a unfriendly critter shipped with it. Although I haven't found any cigar beetles here, I'm not ruling them out completely.

Anyone that received smokes from me should freeze them to kill off any infestations. I know there's a great link out there describing how to do this, but I don't have it on hand. I'm sure someone sill be happy to provide it soon. In the meantime, I wouldn't take anything I sent you out of the bag.

Sorry for the potentional problem,
Dave :(

The one I smoked today didn't taste like critters :D

It did look as though it was contained in the baggie which had only one stick in it. I have seen no sign of anything amiss in the others. So, being a newbie and all, (read as dumb dumb boy) do you think I should freeze the rest according to instruction anyway? ???

BTW, that info on freezing them is right here on our beloved cigarpass.com under Cigars 101

This might be crazy, but in all my years I've never witnessed this "beetle invest". I'm not even sure what to look for. Dave I've already placed what you sent me in both my humi's. I always look over each stick good, but I haven't noticed anything odd. I've smoked a couple already also, and everthing seeemed fine. One was good and the other...well...I wasn't expecting much of that one...anyway. Is this a pretty obvious thing to spot, or what??? Maybe this is an isolated thing with the one stick Puro recieved. Anyway what should I do? ???

Regardless of any possible invest...thanks again Dave!!!! :D

Like I said, it looked to me as tho it was just the one stick, which was in a baggy by itself. It also looked to be a well aged hole. After I saw Dave's message :( I inflated the baggy it was in when it was sent to Dave originally (see note) and there were no holes in it. I am confident that there is no danger to the rest of the sticks.
(Note: Dave, your maticulous labeling of sticks is a godsend in a situation like this.)
Honestly, I was torn whether to say anything at all. My coworkers said to say nothing, but then I thought off Dave's Humi and decided to tell him, just as a precaution.

Again, the bag that contained the stick with the beatle damage held air when inflated, NO HOLES

Phew!

Sounds like it may have been a false alarm! Well, at least for the rest of the cigars. Thanks for the heads up though.

Dave

And thank you Dave, very much, for the good lookin smokes, I have enjoyed 2 of them so far and both have been tasty.

Sorry for the false alarm, but man, I invisioned your stash of gars and got sick at the thought of destruction. Better safe than sorry I always say.

Thanks again my friend.

BTW, what, if anything, do you think about the Camacho Line of sticks. Going to a tasting tonight, wondered what to expect

I personally can't tell you much about the Camacho - but I'm sure someone else here will be happy to help you.

Dave

I can only tell ya about the camacho carojo....Yummy! Most folks have described it as full-bodied and strong... but being a walking nicotine stick... i thought it was medium and quite tasty.

Mouth is watering already, can't wait till 6 PM

Oh wait, maybe the watering is a result of the D-1 I half smoked earlier. Mmmm Mmmm

Thanks Mark

Nope, the store where TommyRox and I hang out and smoke is hosting a tasting with some Gratis Camachos, so we're gonna go try em.

Dave,
WOOOOOOOOOOOOW! I got the box Friday evening when I got home from work! TGIF!!!!! What a great thing to have waiting for you when you get home on Friday. And I wanted to thank you loads, I was not expecting the number and quality! When you guys do things here you do them right. I think this is the start of a great friendship with CP.

Thanks Again Dave. I haven't had the chance to enjoy one yet but hopefully tonight!

P.S. Dave my wife threw the box away before I got your snailer. Could you PM it to me so I can save it!

Dave, Got the snailer, thanks. Also, finally had the chance to smoke one of the prize sticks. I chose a Counterfiet Cuban because I had never had one before and was always curious. Smoked on the way home tonight. It was a good smoke. It started mild and really got going half way through. Great nose and overal good flavor. The draw was tight and I had trouble keeping the wrapper lit, it smoked very uneven. Could be over humidifed the humi they were in was just re-seasoned and could have been a little on the high side!

But anyway, thanks again what a great guy!

Dave I just wanted to say that I enjoyed the Counterfiet very much. I don't want you to think I am complaining. I checked the humi and it is high thus explaining the uneven burn!!! Again, Thanks For Your Generous Prize!!!!!
