So, what did you get for Christmas?

Let's see...

Tatuaje Havana IV Victorias
Davidoff 535 Madison (an early Christmas gift to myself, they got wrapped up last night anyhow. :p)
Tatuaje ashtray
Colibri lighter
Ipod Nano
Digital Camera
Tactical Tailor ACU laptop case
Vineyard Vines fleece, belt, and shorts
Lacoste Rugby shirts and buttondown
Polo oxfords
J.Crew sweaters and scarf

Not a bad haul... :whistling:

New watch, New flashlight, Tactical three-point sling, lots of underwear and thick socks, LOTS of UT stuff, Mavericks hoodie, and some much needed time away from training to spend with my family.

I had no time today to smoke because of undoing thousands of tiny little wires that hold every single damn toy in their packages. I'm gonna find the man that decided that was a good idea and off him with a kitchen towel.....

Bah humbug. I literally got nothing, and I had to work 12 hours Xmas eve and 12 hours tonight, on Xmas day.

Weee?

Edit: I'm not even kidding. Nothing.

Besides another year of happy marriage and a great holiday, my wife gave me some most excellent gifts...

  • Cabelas Outfitter Pro Snowshoes, with poles and tote
  • Orvis Fireside Shawl Cardigan
  • Nordstrom button-down shirt in Nightwatch plaid
  • Carhartt Arctic Lined Duck Vest
  • Whiskey: The Definitive World Guide by Michael Jackson
  • A gift certificate from my regular B&M
  • Food & Wine's Wine Guide 2008
  • A pair of Nordstrom cashmere socks

Christmas came early for us this year. We bought the kids "car repair" this year (new tires for the boy, new CV boots for the girl) and my wife and I bought each other a new dinning room table and chairs. We got them from the unfinished wood furniture store, so I spent a couple of weeks sanding, staining and clear coating them. They came out great and we got to sit in them for Christmas dinner!

My wife couldn't stand the "no big present" Christmas, so she bought a Wii for the family. The kids lost interest after dinner, but my wife and I bowled and golfed until our arms got sore! My elbow is still sore this morning! LOL

I didn't get to any cigars on Christmas, but I've got the rest of the week off and looking forward to getting a few chores done and smoking a couple of nice cigars.

My wife and I decided to do the "combo" gift this year since we needed a new tv, so that was my present. My son got an iPod as one of his gifts.....I had no idea they had that kind of capability. He downloaded 2 games, 3 music videos, 6 songs, and 1 movie to it yesterday. Smoked a HdM Robusto from the Seleccion Robusto set and a Camacho Triple Maduro 4.5/50....talk about a powerhouse!

My wife and I got a combo gift of a Nikon D50 digital SLR and a few odds and ends, my youngest son made me open a gift when I mentioned I was going outside to fire up the BBQ and once I got the prime rib on the rotisserie that I was going to fire up a stoggie. He picked me up a Gurka that was made with a wrapper that had been soaked in Cognac. It was a good 1 1/2 hour smoke, with a couple glasses of Merlot. A good start to the Christmas day.

For the first time in 2 years I got to see my daughter on Christmas day, that was worth more to me than anything.

But I also scored a leather 3 finger case with cutter
$25 Gift Cert. to the local B&M
A suede coat
Wool Pea Coat
Guitar Hero III for the Wii
A few games for the Xbox 360
sweats
and various cash and gift cards

I love Christmas!

Tim

For the last few years, my wife and I have agreed NOT to buy each other anything for Christmas; instead we focus on our immediate family, kids, and grandkids. Besides, she and I are pretty much spoiled brats anyway....

So, yesterday I got to drink great coffee and watch a houseful of folks open their presents. Then sat down to a fantastic meal of a turkey and a glazed ham with the family, who actually get along and enjoy each other's company. I can't really imagine a better time.

Today, my wife got called in to work so it's me and five little dogs alone all day. With a 'fridge full of leftovers and some DVD's I've been meaning to get caught up on. Yeah, baby....

Of course, just because we don't buy each other presents, doesn't mean we can get OURSELF something, right? A box of 80th's and a box of Anejo's 46's showed up on the 24th.....go figure..... :whistling:

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, guys.....B.B.S.

I gt a crescent wrench

I got a new crescent wrench too. One of those automatic adjusting jobbers...... plus some underwear (Calvin Klein even), the Clapton 2007 Crossroads DVD. Got to smoke a Behike, while losing $100 throwing dice at my buddies garage Christmas party. The only cigar i got to smoke in the last couple of weeks. It went well with a twelve pack of Bud Light and lasted almost as long......

I got a new Kershaw knife and a nice leather jacket. Finally got in a 1993 SLR Corona that was excellent late last night.

Along with the ususal clothes and gift cards, I got a nice grinder and coffee maker, MRN book, and some dvds. Surprisingly no booze this year....weird. Marc also got me something pretty cool:

Well, I didn't get anything (lol), but 'tis this season to GIVE so I sent off 3 real life bombs:

1) Ashton ESG Churchill, Opus X RdC, and Padron 40th Maduro -- B&M owner who's been really good to me for a long time.
2) 5 pack of 858 SG -- Friend who smoked this as his first cigar ever.
3) Opus: Super Beli, xXx, RdC, Perf X, and Double Robusto -- Good friend who is an Opus nut.

Edit: Horrible typo lol.

My wife got me a pair of Tommy Bahama shirts (my favorite shirts bar none), a Xikar cutter (in addition to the one my SS sent me, so I have two now), a colibri cigar punch, a business card holder, and a mini-rc helicopter for distressing the cats!

A buddy got me some 5 Vegas shorties for breaks at work, and Santa sent me an awesome set of sticks along with some great shave cream. It's my new favorite wetshaving cream. :)

Unfortunately, since my desktop humi is full and my tuperdor looks full, so she's not getting me any sticks. She doesn't even know what sticks to get me. Do you guys drop hints or do your wives figure things out on their own?

Do you guys drop hints or do your wives figure things out on their own?

1) Get cigar magazines from online retailers.
2) Tear out pages which contain the bounty you want.
3) Nonchalantly highlight the piss out of everything you want in fluorescent, obnoxious orange.
4) Place them back in the magazine, don't glue/tape them.
5) Leave by the shitter or some place your significant other doesn't want them.
6) She picks them up.
7) Loose pages fall out.

Success.

Wife called Al!

Box of Pepin El Centurion, fiver of Hemi's, fiver of Anejos, an in dash HD radio, a nice Collibri from my brother. From my boys, simple and thoughtful stuff. The 'us' gift was a new sound for the home theater.

Life is good!

I got socks.
A coffee grinder.
A food processor (I have no clue what I'm going to do with it)
An MRN book.
Xikar cigar siccors.

Two cigars from Mike. One Punch churchill from the mid-1980s and a special unbanded cigar from the 1970s.

Edit- The unbanded cigar was a T B Carlin Vuelta Abajo "K" piramides approx 6 1/4" length and 46 ring gauge from the late 1960's.

Well I don't have a wife (Per say) but my girlfriend hooked me up with a fine pair of jeans some new slippers and a CAO sampler box bless her heart and thanks to Al!
My family got me an I-Pod touch which I would reccoment to everyone because they are the coolest things you will ever see EVER! and instead of everyone getting seperate things I went all out and got a Playstation 3 for thr whole fam. The little brothers love it for the games and my parents like Blu-Rays so it was a win win.
I fired up a Padron 2000 with Martin in my garage. An excellent Christmas indeed.
