We just have houses buried in half mounds of dirt instead. :sign: That mess still cracks me up everytime I see one of them. :whistling:

LOL, I've seen that also and have never really understood it.

Mine is a 96 Mercury Grand Marquis. I just have to warm it up in the winter. It has reclining leather chairs, radio, glove box (humidor), intimate lighting. BTW, it's BYOB.

Ditto to that! ;) I do most of my smoking in my car and leave the windows down whenever I get teh chance.

My home is my smoking room.

I find it very hard to relate to you, outside only, smokers. But, hey, there must be a reason.

Enjoy.

I chose not to smoke inside, I'd rather not have my furniture or my wife smelling like cigar smoke. I do smoke in my car to work every morning.

I smoke in my Apartment every now and then, but I agree with Brandon on that one. Although I don't smoke in the mornings, just too early for me, yacko!

You actually have to have "beads" to handle smoking in the mornings. Suck it up!

ive posted this pic before, but for those who havent seen it. not really a walk-in, but close enough for me. we just built a pool last summer and i had a firepit built with it so i could fit about 8 guys around it and smoke at night. pretty neat atmosphere since i cant smoke in the house.

yeah, those were for the women. they were upset at new years when i told them you bought the rest from me. also, my wife wants you to send here the n'sync cd she let you borrow when you get a chance.

My Mate and I built a smoking room on the back of our house. It went from this:

To this:

We now have our weekly herfs there every other week (the rest are still at the Grille). We also have a monthly poker game when possible.

Nice room Scot, and the closet is awesome Marc

My smoking room is my 2000 sq ft lanai. I smoke out here all year round and don't have to smoke in the house because of the Flroida weather. When I lived up north I smoked in my house. I have a large temp and humidity controlled cabinet to store my cigars.

You laughing? What about you telling me that you're excited about Nick and Jessica breaking up. You'll finally have a chance at Nick since you've always been such a 98 degree fan.

I have a huge basement and my dream is to build a smoking room and walk in humidor some day. I hope someday to have a collection of smokes, like some of the BOTL's here, that I can age a $6 stick for 5 years.

My question is this:

What does your smoking room and walk-in humidor look like? Post pics, if you have them. Discribe it as best as you can. Does it have vents?

Thanks,
T.O.

There have been a lot of replies to TO's question. TO has not deemed it necessary to check or reply to any of the posts. So I repeat my original question... do you have a separate walk in humidor or do you plan to combine the two, smoking area and humidor. I have seen both. In Conway, NH there is a cigar bar that is, in effect, a walk in humidor. I have had a few occasions to smoke there and noticed no ill affects to cigars stored in an area where they are exposed to smoke. That being said, I have also seen a lot of comments where smoking in the same area where cigars are stored will have an affect on the stored cigars. The recommendation would be to sepatate the smoking area from the the walk in area, vent the smoking area, and take some care to ensure the air flow doesn't mix. Just a recommendation. TO...where are you?

whats a basement??

Are you serious? I find it kinda hard to imagine that you've never seen the concept of a "basement" on television or in the movies at some point in your life but I may be wrong and will assume that your question is a legitimate one  so here goes:

When you build a house, you need to put it on a FOUNDATION of some sort. You dig a BIG HOLE, usually about eight to ten feet deep and construct a foundation, usually out of concrete. The concrete walls are typically 8 feet high and 8" to 12" thick. Then you back fill (that means take the soil or fill and fill in around the concrete walls) around the foundation leaving you with somthing to build your house on.

Now, the BIG HOLE in the middle is called a "basement" and usually has a concrete floor, you have heard of concrete, right? Typically what most builders do is construct a flight of stairs from the first floor of the house down to the "basement" which is a full room under the entire building. The basement typically contains your furnace, and oil tank, water pump/pressure tank, your main electrical panel. Now these things typically don't take up all the room in the basement so what people have been known to do is "finish" the basement meaning that they construct walls and turn it into another room for their house.

If my explanation wasn't through enough, try google......

I was joking..basements are as popular here as some of your jokes (joking again)

i dont think it matters too much. all the b&ms i frequent let me smoke in the humi. it may alter the cigars somewhat but not enough to notice (assuming they are not flavored). have you ever smoked a cigar while drinking a coffee or a port? i would assume the smoke effects it some but youll never tell a difference. i say smoke in your humi without worrying about it.

I agree, but TO mentioned a vent. If you vent the humidor/smoking room it becomes problematic to maintain humidity, depending on how much you smoke in the room/use the vent.

I don't think it's a good idea to smoke in a walk-in humidor..definately not with regularity.
