Site slow to load up (Explorer and Chrome)

View new content may at times be a little slow, depending on the load upon the sql server. VNC runs a query against the db, which can be resource intense. We have plenty of resources as we're on a dedicated server, however this is the nature of the forum. There is a new update coming out soon which should make the db more efficient. 
 
If I'm not mistaken, Maxthon uses IE as it's core.  Not a fan of IE, so I use Chrome and Safari primarily.
