News had a bit on a new dome forming in the crater... Volcano Observatory did an overflight and we're not done with this yet. SO FAR... no ash in town. But a slight change on the winds and that can change.
 
Hang in there bro. I never knew that the ash was that destructive.

We don't have volcanoes in western PA - just miles of potholes & roadkill.

I remember seeing that jet parked on the end of the runway for months- the windscreen was so destroyed from the abrasiveness of the ash that you could not see thru the glass. I heard that the insides of all 4 engines were covered in a ceramic coating. It was basically a miracle that they got some engines restarted and were able to land at all...
