ill take the panthers for a premium fiver if anyone wants to take the giants.

So Davewo am taking your fiver when the GIANTS win right?
LOVE FOOTBALL!!!!! AND CIGARS ............

Let me first say it was a hell of a game panthers played their butts off if they would’ve made that field goal they would’ve got the win - but they didn’t HAHA GO GIANTS!!!
Dave sorry PM sent.......
First let me say I don’t know if wagers should be as serious as trades but if someone places a bet with cigars he should stand up to his bet. This started 12/22/08 we are now in 2/08/09 I think it shouldn’t take anyone this long to stand by his bet. And I am not desperate for cigars, just that if he reneges on bet he may stiff someone on payment or he might just keep your money and not send out the cigars. This is the tracking #0103 8555 7496 4826 2423 which indicates I have not received it, so its still his responsibility to make sure I get my package. If am wrong for starting this thread I apologize but if am right? What will make this right?

yes I PM him a number of times and he keeps saying he is looking into it .....

This looks like it may have shipped on Jan 07 and was processed in Bethpage NY today. You may receive the package tomorrow seems like a major screwup on the P.O. part. I would try to contact him and find out the info he used to ship to you and make sure it was correct.

I'm no USPS expert, although tons of guys on this forum are. But it looks to me like someone submitted the order/processed the label on their computer on January 7th and dropped it off at the post office yesterday.

Someone will come along in a second and say something, a lot of these guys ship USPS all day long.

Trades and wagers are the currency that our reputations are built or tarnished on.

"Stuff" happens but there is NO excuse for things to take this long to be resolved. Anything that takes more than a couple of days to cover needs to be communicated with the parties involved and resolved as promptly as is possible.

Dave owes you and the forums an explanation and probably an apology.

B.B.S.

B.B.S. hit it on the head. Pay up, communicate if there is an issue, get it fixed, no excuses, "check is in the mail" don't cut the mustard!

I had a similar situation where I held a sale a few weeks back, and a custom package that included a pretty HTF cigar was made for a member behind the scenes in PM and sent out, in addition to the pricier cigars already included in the sampler. Well, needless to say, it went to the wrong location, got held up, showed it as "returning" to me, and is now lost in USPS la-la-land. I filed a report with the Mail Cops (those lazy scumbags), and nothing has been updated.

That said, I sucked it up, tracked down another one of those HTF cigars, and resent the same package. I was out a couple hundred dollars over the ordeal, but my reputation is still intact. The whole time the member and I communicated constantly, and he still wanted to the cigars over getting his money back, and the situation was resolved. I must have PM'd him 3-4 times a week, updating him constantly on what I was doing, the status of the cigars, etc.

Bottom Line: Don't welch on your freakin' debts. It's that easy.

I don't know you that well Dave, but that Electronic Shipping info. makes you look like you just pulled a DC# online in January to show MOBIG you were sending a package, forgot about it, and then saw this thread yesterday and went, "Oh sh*t! I better send that out!" I don't know man. Cohibasurfer had good stuff to say about you back in April 07, and I respect the dude:

Dave sent me a sirius radio receiver he no longer wanted. For nuthin'. He also put some nice sticks in to keep it company. Thanks, your generousity is noticed and you are now labeled. Some noobs do "get it".

So, maybe this is just an oversight, right?? ???

Not taking any sides here because I do not know what happened. But I highly doubt he saw this thread and decided to finally mail it. The thread was created at 9:49 P.M. Feb 8 and Dave is from NC. The tracking show it was processed at 9:54 P.M. on Feb 8 in Bethpage, NY.

To beat the proverbial dead horse, communication is the name of the game. Let people know up front what the status is and do the right thing. Get stuff out on time and have a back up plan if it doesn't work out. It's no fun having your business out in open forum, you lose your cred and that's all we have.

Communication, communication, communication.....My understanding is you own the package until such a time that its delivered safely. This should not be forgotten. MOBIG is owed his winnings.

I received the package today it is a premium 5iver but they seem very dry nothing to keep humi in it 1 stick looks damage by dryness, so at this point he has not PM me our posted any comments about this… lets sit and wait some more :whistling:

While many of us like to use USPS, we all know that this could happen at any time to any package that we send. That label looks a bit damaged to me. Could the USPS be to blame, absolutely.

The sticks are dry, after being on the road for a month. I can see that happening.

Should Dave have sent a replacement out, yes.
