Hmm.....$240.00 a year for the privilege of buying from these guys? Pass.....B.B.S.

OK so at best I am paying $200 a year so that I can "hope" that you discount a box that I want to buy?

As BBS has stated, I'll pass

ps. Hmm does Pete know your discounting his brand below MSRP?

Actualy if you are looking at it as yearly you would want to take advantage of our quarterly price of $50 so that would only be $200 annualy.

If you are a serious cigar smoker and you enjoy any of the brands we have (always expanding), you will easily save your membership many times over as well as be eligible for special and limited items as they arrive and special promotions from the manufacturers. As we expand our inventory and introduce special items I think you will have a different opinion. To each his own.

If you were viewing member prices on our web page you might find the box you want. Everything on the member side is priced 30 to 50% off MSRP. But like I said before, to each his own.

Give me 30 to 50% off of what other people are selling online for and then you'll have a deal. Right now you're $10 - $20 less than many other websites on boxes. Now, that could be a good deal, _if_ I'm buying enough boxes and _if_ you have the box I'm actually looking for.

Yes, to each his own.

Its an interesting business idea based on your local membership, but I think the fellas are trying to point out that the math isn't working for the majority of us. You'd have to carry the brands, AND have them in stock on demand, AND beat all other online prices (and specials). Perhaps if you reduced your associate membership fee...

Thank you for your suggestions. I will definitely pass it on to all of the decision makers.

My posts weren't meant to be rude or to run you off, either. Just sort of thinking out loud for everyone and evaluating the deal. Are the prices on your "member side" the same as what I see browsing the site as a non-member? Specifics on what kinds of deals are offered would be good, too. From what little searching I did, the price on the Gran Cojonu is certainly good, but is this just to lure people in or what?

No offense take. I appreciate the suggestions. The prices on the member side are based on MSRP. For example Camacho Corojo churchill retails for 118.00 per box. On the member side, you buy that box for 76.00. Don Pepin Black figurado 1978 retails for 160.00 per box. On the member side they are 98.80. Just a couple of examples.

The daily special Gran Cojonu that you are refering to is a daily special. We try to run a real goos daily special at least 5 days a week.

I think yours is a good business model, but for my purposes, doesn't work well. As a rule, I pay less than MSRP for my cigars already.

Bruce hit it dead on. Your "business model" would most likely be a hard sell on this forum unless you cut your dues in half, or more. Just about all of the active members here are lucky enough to take advantage of some really good deals from vendors that participate here often. There is also the word of mouth factor here as well. We're always looking out for one another, trying to save a brother some green.

That's not to say your deal would not save the average guy some money. Just that most here would not want to risk paying $200.00 annually, to find they could have come out ahead with the brotherhood network for free.

Just a quick question, is there a limit on purchases per member?

I find it amazing that you aren't a decision maker...after all, you are posting here.

Good luck getting even the first person to sign up.

I find it very interesting that I have to decline a certificate in Firefox every time I view this thread.
