A buddy of mine brought over a 6 pack of Sam Adam's Irish Red the other night. This is the first I've seen of this from Sam Adams, and man it was good. Dark, rich and almost creamy in texture/body, and it was very malty. Has anyone else seen or tried this one? I always have Sam in stock, but this is the first time I've seen this particular brew from them.

Did this come in a four pack or a six pack Matt? I think I saw this the other day. I started to pick it up but decided not to. I think I may have to give it a try.

Yes I picked up a 6 pack a couple of months ago at Bevmo. I liked it, but it was a bit too much for me IIRC. I usually reach for a Killians.

I had a glass of this a couple of days ago and really enjoyed it. Typically Red ales aren't a favorite of mine but this Irish Red is a solid beer.

This sounds good. I don't know a lot about the differant types of beer, but I have to say that I do love Killians. I do believe that I read the results of a blind tasting of beers, and for it's type, the Killians scored the highest. Thanks for the heads up.

Surprisingly, this is a decent beer. Jim Koch nailed this version.

I was lucky enough to buy this in case form a month ago, however to my dismay after enjoying the whole thing in about a week I have not been able to find it since :( This was agreat brew, very bright and flaovrful on the palate all the way. Man I really need to find more.......
