RP Olde World Reserve

Do a search on "Olde World" and you'll have your answer. I liked them overall.

Love the Maduros, not too crazy about the Corujo.

Give at least the Maduros a try, you wont be disappointed.

I have 2 of the Maduro's and I loved both of them, definetly a good smoke but I'm not sure compared to the cost

I have only smoked one and have another resting. Both are toro maduros. I really liked the first one I had. I think they are pretty good smokes. I have heard some horror stories about short filler though. You might do a search to see if you can find it.

WOW really?? short filler on a $12+ smoke?! Damn that would not be good. I haven't had one yet. Keep thinking about them but haven't seen that great of news on them so I pass them up.

I doubt they are a short-filler cigar. However I'm not willing to cut one of the ones I have left open to find out.

They are good cigars and worth the money IMO.

I thought the corojo was worth the money. Nice flavor and excellent construction.

mmmm the Maddie Torp was great imo. Think I picked it up for under $10 so I was very pleased.

I've heard reviews of these on the dog watch social club podcast. They were mentioning that the smokes were comparable to the 1926 Padrons.

Interesting comment on the short filler, someone mentioned that the cigars ashed quite a bit and seemed very flakey which might indicate short filler, however from all accounts these are long filler smokes.

Wonderful flavor but a bit soft in construction was the common theme on all the ones I have had.

Short filler? I doubt that but it would be interesting to cut one open and find out. Maybe that is why they are price so high ($20 here in CA) so nobody will cut them open. ??? Hmmmmmmmmmm. Really though I do not think that is Rocky's style.

Very reminiscent of a 26 PAM maddy #9 like someone said. Smoked another one tonight.

Well I had one of my RP OWR Maduro's tonight! Poker game sucked but the cigar was great! Of course I didn't cut it open to see any filler was in it!
Great burn and a lot of smoke! Great taste from beginning to end!
I will definitely see if I can pick some of these up!!

The maduro is the only one I have experience with... it's comparable to a Padron '64, but not a 1926, IMO. Good flavor profile (not overpowering, but more complex than a RP Vintage) and loads of smoke.... good sticks, though a bit on the high side (here they're $15 for the torpedo).

I had one of these this past weekend. I'm a big fan of the RP Vintage line, and the Padron lines, so given the comparisons I'd seen, I was hopeful for a great cigar.

I had the maduro torpedo, and I have to say, I thought it was a complete waste of money. The construction was loose, the cigar burned very unevenly, and the ash was loose and flaky, falling off everytime it built up a half-inch or so.

The flavor, in my opinion, was disappointing, and not at all comparable to a Padron. Maybe I just got hold of a bad one, but this thing tasted like licorice, to me, and I do NOT like licorice.

Honestly, what this cigar really reminded me of was the Rocky Patel Diesel cigar, which is a 75 cent one-note mediocrity. The wrapper looked and tasted just like the Diesel wrapper. I believe there was a decent amount of ligero in the OWR, enough to remind me of the Edge, so that's my decription of this cigar: They took the Edge filler and binder and wrapped it in the cheapo Diesel wrapper, and then stuck a $12 price tag on it.

I'll stick with the Vintage line.
