Recommendations Needed

I think you must be talking about sweet spice like cinnamon, cloves, allspice and not necessarily the "hot" caliente spiciness of black or white pepper or chili. Am I correct?

Wilkey

Yeah - that's what I'm looking for - sweet spice.

I like the peppers also - just want the other spice for now.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions though - making a list and will try them all eventually - never can have to many :D

For Habanos, I'd recommend the San Cristobal La Fuerza. Some of the Bolivar come across with hints of this spice but it's not very prominent. I have to agree with Blue Dragon, Cubans just don't manifest that flavor profile for me.

What about Montesino maduros, have you tried those? I think you might want to look into anything with maduro or sungrown wrappers. Try the Hoyo de Monterrey Dark Sumatra. Cheap and on a good day, can come across as spicey but certainly a tasty smoke nonetheless.

HdM Not spicy like an opus, and its candied jalapeno flavors (YUM!!!!)

More of good tobacco that has a medium body and lighter flavors that ring on the tip and sides of the tongue.

All Vegas Robainas to me are delicious nice deep basal flavors like cocoa and leather and walnuts.

HdM reminds me of holiday spice and ginger (not the actual flavor) things that are lighter and hit the nose a lot different. Like the top note on a cologne the one that registers to your brain last.

I think that tha Famosos is to the Hdm #2
What Dr. Pepper is to Mountain Dew.

Just my opinion, Have I confused you all yet?

Famous Nicaraguan Private selection Corojo

These are not some low end cheapies like other famous cigars. This one by all means meets the standard to higher end and has a very nice spice like many great corojo cigars.I have 3 boxes and intend on keeping them in my humi at all times. At around 60-75 dollars a box you cant go wrong.

I have only had the robusto and corona. The corona is a tad stronger and more flavorful.

It is a full body full stregnth cigar.Nothing like famous nicaraguan 3000 at all.Well worth it.

Roger that on the VRs.

Hdm don't hit me that way.

Nice analogy. :D
