Recommendation Of Cheap Cigars

Don't listen to the snobs.

Cheap cigars can be very good IF you know what to get AND are willing to age them a bit. Remember, taste is subjective. For example, some may not like the ERDM Robusto Larga but it is very popular and at $60 a box at Atlantic, they are cheap cigars!

I like the price of Consuegra #9s (Qualls07 recommendation)

ok, does anybody have a couple sticks of Sancho Panza Double Maduro LA Mancha and Consuegra #9s that I could buy? I want to try them out before I buy a bundle/box. Thanks

Hmmmm, sounds okay to me.

I did look at their selection but nothing really interested me but then again, I'm a "cigar snob" anyway.

cigargoyle, you may consider asking Rod, the site admin, to change your screen name to papacigar.

Just an idea....

Thank you very much, your generosity is greatly appreciated.

In order to receive some further recommendations, I would like to add that I usually find a "creamier" cigar more enjoyable. Thanks

I browsed and bid upon a number of samplers over at cbid and finally won 2 samplers for a little over $2 a cigar shipped. I would recommend this approach if you are looking for some diversity on the cheap. Look for samplers that incorporate cigars from different brands such the Festival Samplers (Shade Grown Festival, Double Maduro Festival) and Taster Packs.

Thanks,
-Chad

Indian Tabac Super Fuerte

I agree but would emend the IT SF with Toro Maduro. All the Connies are good. JR sells a Dominican Connie, too! JR also sells the Plascencia line of TKO fame. The only problem with JR is they tag you for $2.56 per item shipping AND if you live in certain states(I do - Delaware), they add USPS charge ON TOP. My last shipping charge on two boxes was $11 :(

Over at cigar bid, the IT SF Toro Mad can be had for $28 a bundle, the Trilogy Tri-press for less the $40, the Oliveros Grand Torpedo for $16 for 25, and the IT Corojos for $25. All decent smokes, too!

Tampa Sweethearts has a mild but tasty robusto maduro for $26 - #50.

Cigarbid.com is an evil, EVIL site, bid with caution. You can get some nice Gurkhas for less than $3 a stick.

Mikescigars.com also has connies, both regular and DR lines.

I've been tearing through these "mini's" the last couple weeks. http://lalunacigars.com/buy.htm
At 24.95 a bundle they're a bargain and mighty tastey too!

And someone else mentioned the Connie #9, another stick that you can't miss with!

Plus if you have the funds to buy a box of 50, I HIGHLY recommend the Punch Double Maduro Rothschild. If you purchase them from Famous they end up costing roughly 2.05 a stick.

Not much I can mention that has not already been said.

Connie #9
Tampa Sweethearts
Sancho Panza
Indian Tabac

I was able to scrore a couple boxes of Indian Tabacs on Cbid for $22 each last November. Nice smoke at a great price.

I think the nording tastes like a $10-$12 cigar but runs in the $6 range. The other thing to try is cigar shop house blends sometimes you will find a decent cigar. Other then that padron 4000 are one of the best.

Just remembered one.

Rosa Cuba. Nothing real fancy, just a good ol tobacco flavored stick. You can get them for 12 bucks a bundle or less.

You can get them for a song on the devil site.

Consuegra #25 with some time in the humi is a cigar that could easily pass for a $8 - $10 stick and you can get them for $1

I just the last of mine which were in my humi for 2 years and I am very sad.

Cheap cigars aren't worth it.
....he's right. Smoking a full size cigar represents an investment in time, and the last thing I want when I decide to make that investment is to be disappointed by a cigar that just doesn't get it done.

As mentioned, Padron 2000's can be had for under three bucks a stick if you wait for the sales, and that's as "cheap" as I go anymore.

FWIW - YMMV - etc.....B.B.S.
