Recommend Some Fancy "Vacation" Cigars

Man, I don't know. Fancy vacation cigars..............are honestly over rated. You'll worry too much about selecting the "perfect" ones, then when on vacation, they'll either let you down or you won't have enough time to truly enjoy them. Pick things you know work and that you enjoy. If I were you, I'd grab some Anniversary Padrons, whether 1964/1926 or the 40th/45th/etc. If you can find Opus/Anejos, grab those. Hell, even the Chateau Fuente SGs are great, so are their sungrown 858's.

It really comes down to what Tim stated. I tend to gravitate towards something I know works and that I enjoy, when I really want to wind down/slow down and enjoy things.
That's a good point, too.

A couple of weeks ago I went on vacation for a week, and brought a few really nice cigars, plus a bunch of regular stuff and a bunch of small ones, not knowing how much I'd get a chance to smoke. Plus I bought five at Outlaw on the way through KC, and five more at the local shop while there (Harbor Cigars in Destin, FL - nice little shop with a really outstanding selection). Between the weather, activities, and timing of everything I think I ended up smoking three cigars total on the whole trip. LOL.

I second Byron/Atabey as stated above. The few I have had have been incredible. I don’t know if they would be check side red “fancy” but if your looking for a stick with a price tag to coerce you into enjoying the smoke you could look at some options from the Davidoff Aniversario line

Thanks for all the great thoughts. By "fancy", I don't really mean price tag or even rarity. Just some stuff that is a bit off the beaten path or not a typical buy at a b&m. I'm in a weird stage of the cigar journey where I have a wonderful local shop and can get access to a nice variety of sticks. The downside of this is that it's easy to always grab for something I know and that represents a good quality example of a brand, which for me is usually Fuente Opus X/Anejo/Casa Cuba, 1964 Padron, Liga, or most of what Foundation has to offer. Don't get me wrong, I love these smokes, but I think it will be fun to expand a bit. Knowing what folks like on here makes it a bit easier to go into the humidor with a plan.

Get ya a bundle of these…

and smoke at least 3 a day. You’re welcome!
