OMG...can't believe you guys went there...The Navy has problems with Doll Boys... Not the CG, we just take care of the Navy wives and girlfriends... ;) BTW, I really enjoyed the Gol's...very enjoyable smoke...I have had a few, and I'll tell you this...Leave the cello on...I think the cedar masks the earthyness of this gar. Just my 2 cents.

Emo

Sorry Lee, thought it was a Typo and decided to rib ya a little. I have not heard of that one, I know about the Gol, what is the size of the Dol?

Hey Emo, just having a little fun I know you CG guys are upstanding and I am sure so are most of those Navy guys ;)

I am just thankful that each and every one of the boys in the Uniforms are there, risking their own freedom as well as their lives, to make sure that our country stays free, and safe. I am proud to be an American, not because I am so great, but because this country has so many great people willing to stand up for all of us. So thank you Emo, and to anyone else willing to wear the Uniform of the US Armed Forces.

Thank you Micahel...first for serving, and second for remembering...means a lot coming from a shipmate. Bravo Zulu.

Just got home, it's late, I'm beat, but wanted to do a quick report.

Box arrived Friday p.m. -- looked in good shape (has a new tuperware!), stored it safely.

Will give a more complete inventory, bookwork and report in the morning, and then off to JLew on Monday.

:)

Hey Misc, when you get the pass, please numbers of the puts...Thx.
20 AFHem Sig
21 AFHem SS
22 CAO Mad
23 NS Host

Ok, the report I promised:

The outter cardboard box is a bit beat, but looks like it will survive a few more trips. Wife thinks I should replace it, but I'm a traditionalist, and think it's cool to see a box with 10 layers of USPS tape on it that's been around the world (or country, anyway.) :)

All the cigars seem to be in good shape. There's a little tobacco in the container, but no terribly banged-up cigars.

Home-made credos -- a key idea is that the foam should have LOTS of air-contact. if you use a cigar tube and use the tube to cut the foam, you have almost ZERO air-contact (just the little plug at the top, as the tube "blocks" the rest) and they don't work so well. Better version is to use an ice-pick or drill to make many holes in the aluminum tube, then cut small peices of foam and drop them in. They should rattle around and fall out if you invert the tube. Not a big deal, just something I noticed, since there were 2 of them.

The Cohiba #9 didn't have a sticker, so I stickered it.

I repacked the tupperwares in a way that I think is better (hope it works and hope others agree :)) basically, "firm", but night "tight", in a way that uses less bubble wrap, so more room for cigars. EMO: next time, use bigger tupperwares, in case people want to give you things! ;) Ben already put in a whole 'nother container for you.

Btw, the number-thing and list is cool -- I'm going to steal that idea :)

Otherwise, everything looks cool.

I'll post my puts & takes this afternoon (have to verify that I can "afford" to put what I'm taking -- I'm not familiar with my intended takes), and mail it tomorrow (Monday) with tracking #.

Misc...the reason I don't add more surface area is this...I am not trying to control humidity, I am trying to control losing humidity from the gars. I put just a little distilled to each tube. Too much surface area, the foam can release a lot of moisture in high heat in a short amount of time. Because when the box travels USPS, it endures a lot of temp changes. So i figure this, I dont want too much moisture released, but if it is just a little, then the gars will release less moisture than the humi pack...Because they are wrapped, they stay fresh. Just my take...

Is # 22 or #23 the NS?

Sorry.

The #23 was the Nat Sherman Host, but it's gone now, as I took it :)

#23 has left the building (box)!

#22, CAO Mad, is still [t]here.

One last question...Benjie posted that there was a Perdomo2 in there, but no Nat Sherman...so what is in there? Just feelin a little lost...

The box is sealed and ready to post, and I'm too lazy to open it, do inventory, and reclose -- JL can give you full inventory, if you can talk him into it :D

There *WAS* a Nat Sherman in there, and I took it (I thought it was Benjei's put), it is gone, now.

I'm not sure about a Perdomo2. I don't recall it as one of Benjie's puts (2 AFs, the NS and a CAO are what he wrote down), so if it wasn't one of the original cigars, it's not in there.

I didn't actually lay out all the cigars by number -- was I supposed to? I just sort-a figured we could trust people ;) Anyway, the NS definately used to be in the box, although it's gone, now. I can't say as I recall the others, although I think I remember seeing a Hemmingway something and a CAO something (could've been BJ's could've been in your original box, don't remember.)

It's going out in the mail at lunch, then you can ask JL all the Qs about the box that you want.

Try not to stress too much, your pass is going well (as far as I can tell) :)

Thanks!

Bring it on brother I got some goodies to put in.

Are the gars numbered with a legend already or do I have to try to figure out what they are. If its the latter oh cheet! ;)
